As much as I'd like to see his one man freak show, I'm calling bullshit. And even if this was true, why the fuck would you pay him money? He'd probably do it for pain pills and pizza.

There's a problem. In order to do comedy you actually have to be funny. I'm sure there's a lot of people that would tune in to see the train wreck that is his life, after all this is how the Kardashians started, but he just doesn't have enough going for him unless he's the butt monkey. In which case he's not getting the $20 million. That's the budget for the show and he's getting scale, if that.

No worries it’s a complete and utter fabrication.

No production company is going to pay one red cent to film a repulsive morbidly obese man sitting in a filthy apartment all day on his computer or ubering to ERs to scam pills.

His only shot at being on TV was as a one episode hate watch for an already established series about super fatties getting surgery to lose weight. The “lose weight surgery journey” is how that freakshow gets airtime, it’s just a veneer for a freakshow but an important one. No one on MSHPL is interesting enough for a series, just a one hour holy shit freakshow gawk.

There will never be any comedy series for Assanti because he’s not funny but epically irritating. His life is as about depressing and boring as possible and I don’t think he could be any less likable. He’s good for an hour or two of intense hate watching but nothing more.

Besides they don’t pay any production crew members enough to spend eight hours a day for weeks on end in close proximity to Assanti’s rancid fluid leaking boil of a body or in the toxic dumpster of his apt. Even when he was on MSHPL footage from his apartment was sparse (compared to other super fats on the show) for that very reason.

They need to take some personal responsibility for who they are.

I'm sure he actually has a metal disorder, but as shown on the show, a diagnosis will mean jack shit, since he's not gonna bother with a therapist who isn't a yes-man. That's probably why he stopped seeing Dr. Paradise, he had the balls to tell him that his insane behavior was not okay.

Do you really think someone like him could handle looking inwardly, and realising there's nothing there but a fucking chasm of blackness, and that all his problems are his own damned fault? He might have to do something about it, then! It's far easier to blame something nebulous like 'society', since it absolves him of all the blame! It's a lazy, pathetic answer, but then again Steven's a lazy, pathetic blob that's playing at being a man.

I'd actually question that unless you say he's a sociopath in which case I'd agree with you on that one. He's manipulative and shows no actual remorse for what he's done except when he thinks it will benefit him. All this happened on the show. He'd act out, Dr. Now would tell him he can't be like this and he can't stay and suddenly the tears come and he's sorry and he promises it won't happen again. But the moment that Dr. Now tells him he doesn't buy it, the tears stop.

He's never going to get better. But he's going to try to convince everybody that he has a mental illness other than being a sociopath. Like he's going to blame his mother. Or he's going to blame some event in his life.

The sooner people see him for what he is the better.

I'm not saying that he's a poor tortured soul, in fact a lot of people with heavy mental disorders are usually like him, pieces of shit who'd rather use their disorder as a crutch in order to justify their shitty behavior, as opposed to actually being willing to improve themselves. This kind of shit especially happens with people who have Borderline or bipolar.
