I remember around 10 years ago some study came our that suggested overweight people live longer than those of average/healthy weight and the body positivity crowd was using that as some kind of proof that "fat phobia" is real.
Turns out this study didn't account for the fact that obese people are more routinely screen and monitored for disease/conditions because they're at a higher risk for them than most other people.
Therefore these conditions were caught earlier when they could have been treated.
Research studies are great, but can easily have their facts be twisted and misused.
Kinda reminds me of The DaVinci Code where some particle was discovered that could either prove or disprove the existence of God depending on how it was presented.
Yep and other contributing factors like they tend to literally just sit inside all day.
If you're being monitored by doctors essentially sitting inside all day in a bubble. You probably going to get a smidgen of longevity but at what cost? Lolz
