The first is Andrei Chikatilo, a serial killer/rapist who lived in the Soviet Union. He could only get sexual satisfaction from the act of killing, and he killed a lot; he was convicted for 52 murders though he claimed to have killed at least 56. And he killed everyone: young girls, young boys, older women. And he got away with it for so long ironically because of the Soviet police's brutal methods. They would never suspect him and instead go after someone else, and because they were the Soviet police, they would force confessions out of these unrelated suspects. They finally managed to get him, and he was sentenced to death. He was ultimately executed via a bullet to the head, the most Soviet way to execute a criminal if you ask me.

The second is Richard Chase, aka the Vampire of Sacramento. He was a confirmed schizo that went way off the deep end when he decided to stop taking his meds. He began consuming the blood of animals such as rabbits and dogs under the belief that his heart was shrinking. He also started entering people's homes if their doors were unlocked; he believed if they were locked, he wasn't welcome. Chase entered two houses, the first one he murdered a young woman and the second he killed 4 people. Chase was fucking sadistic too; he would do unspeakable things to his victims, one of which was a 22-month old. I'll spare everyone the details, but this motherfucker is the sickest killer I've ever read about. He was eventually arrested and committed suicide via overdose on medication. During the autopsy, they found that his heart was at a perfectly healthy size.

there is a great hbo movie from the 90s about Chikatilo called Citizen X. Highly recommend to watch it.
 
My personal minimum criteria for serial killer is three in total or two in a single transaction.

So by virtue of the second criteria, I'm gonna go with Orenthal James Simpson.

Real life is based jack the ripper, whoever he was he was the og and real "fine gentleman" elliott rodgers wishes he was. Also the phantom killer aka the moonlight murderer is a close second. Again whoever he was he later insipred the movie the town that dreaded sundown and the first look for Jason in part 2
 
No "love" for Ed Kemper yet? He may not have killed as many people as a lot of others on this list, but the bastard had so much flair he's essentially a real life supervillain.

The nearly seven foot tall, IQ 145 man shot his grandmother and grandfather at the age of 15, turned himself in, was a model prisoner at the psychiatric facility he was imprisoned in, was put in charge of administering psychiatric tests for other inmates (where he learned things from other inmates he would use on his later victims), and was released for good behavior at 21.

He tried to become a police officer but was rejected due to being too tall (LMAO) and hung out with cops at a local bar they frequented the entire time he was doing his killings, even helping the officers with various minor duties. Most of the local PD was on a first name basis with "Big Ed." Kemper killed, committed necrophilia on the bodies of, and cannibalized six college girls from 1972 to 1973 before killing his abusive mother and her best friend. He drove 1000 miles nonstop across the country hopped up on caffeine pills afterwards locked and stocked with three guns and a bunch of ammo, only to call the police and confess to everything when he realized nobody had figured out what he'd done (he'd expected to be the target of a national manhunt by then). The police didn't believe him the first time, so he had to call in and confess twice.

Kemper has waived his right to a parole hearing multiple times, saying he's happy in prison.

Another real life supervillain serial killer: Charles Sobhraj. An incredibly charming psychopath who lived a life of luxury due to his elaborate, ballsy con artistry, and bumping off and robbing wealthy tourists. Unlike most killers on the list, Sobrhaj seemed to kill only for material gain, not to get his jollies off.
 
Juana Barraza. Mexican Wrestler who also killed about 50 old ladies throughout her serial career. Her job allowed her to move frequently, and she was able to convince her victims she was a government official before brutally murdering them.
 
Not out of respect but shame, Randy Stair was so pathetic he missed with shotgun of all things like 30+ times or some shit and killed three, imagine having your survival instinct so bad you get murdered by that clown of all people.

Reading his manefesto was a goldmine of shitpost material, i remember shitposting "i'm going ghost" for like 3 weeks on 4chan threads and spamming his quotes.

Now that was a fun shitposting spree.

I legit fucking wheezed for 45 minutes at one of the documentaries someone made about him on YouTube, i was in such disbelief something that spergy and bizarre was real.

One of Kemper's victims, Aiko Lee, was 15 years old. He had sexual relations with her head. Not exactly "flair."

Then again, my favorite is Albert Fish because he was such a lolcow. His last words on the chair were "I don't even know why I'm here."

Dahmer because he was fascinating with hiw fucked up he was. Zodiac is pretty nifty too. I also have a special spot for the Hillside Stranglers for powerlevel reasons.

The Dean Corrl case is also fascinating and completely fucked up. It's interesting that it doesn't get as much attention as cases like Gacy or Dahmer.

I think I'll second Kemper.

If not for his awful upbringing, he could probably have done something great... or he might still have been a serial killer, who knows.

It's like that with a few serial killers.. Usually the ones that are really successful have to be pretty smart to actually get away with it* Then you usually get a terrible upbringing and/or frontal lobe injuries and then they end up just...being completely fucked up.

Not all of them of course. A lot of them are just messed up to begin with.

*Or they're retarded and really lucky.
 
I think Jeffrey Dahmer is a pretty cool guy. Eh makes zombeis and doesnt afraid of anything
 
Sante and Kenny Kimes -- a mother/son duo. They were primarily con artists, and their three confirmed kills barely qualify them for serial-murder status, but their story is fascinating.
No less than three movies have been made about them, but none of them properly portrayed their utterly sociopathic lives and doings. Best account of them is the book Son of a Grifter, written by Sante's son from a previous marriage. In terms of documenting the sheer awfulness of a single human being, it's one of the greatest true-crime books ever written.
