Favorite YouTube chef? - Actually talented chefs whose recipes you enjoy eating/cooking yourself

Big fan of Akis Kitchen. But that's probably just because I love greek and middle eastern food. Sadly he's not produced much of his normal stuff recently, probably because of the coof. One of my favorite recipes of his, even without the wrapping which is kinda hard to find here it's still tasty.

Matty matheson has gone into semi cringe territory but I respect him for cooking placenta at one point for Kenny hotz.

I'm very surprised emmymadeinjapan hasn't been brought up. A lot of her stuff is recreating weird things but she's too positive to not like.

Chef Michel Dumas fanbase, arise! A very prolific chef in Quebec with a nice humor.

Ann reardon from"How to cook that" is nice too, more in the dessert stuff. She's australian I think.

And Gastronogeek is already mentioned here.

For japanese food I recently discovered Kimono Mom. I found her channel very relaxing.

Glen and Friends has to be my favourite. He's friendly, food always looks great, explains things very clearly and does a lot of recipes from old cookbooks which is neat. He's got a sort of Ray Romano meets Mike Myers vibe, which is fun

BORE.D is a bit of a meme channel but I can't deny that he is a good cook

JunsKitchen is borderline Reddit tier but his food is nice and his cats are lovely and well behaved

Liziqi may very well be Chinese government funded propaganda but it's definitely comfy af and watching her go through such a huge effort to make meals for her grandma is cute

Others have mentioned Cowboy Kent Rollins, Townsend, Ann Reardon/How To Cook That (particularly love her debunking vids), and Steve1989, which I have to agree with. I also love Kay's Cooking, though obviously not for the quality of her food. I also don't know if Brutalmoose counts but his channel has essentially turned into a food channel at this point and is quite comfy to watch.

There was one more I wanted to share but I can't remember the name of the guy and can't find the channel. All I know is he is a chef in some New York restaurant and he's very fat, but he makes quality food. I don't even know if he's made videos within the last 5 years, I remember the video quality being pretty poor

If we're talking trash tier channels though, Babish is kinda shit once the whole cooking food from TV shows shtick wears off, and Ragusea is a huge cunt who can go fuck himself.

I've been a fan of Kent Rollins ever since I saw him beat Bobby Flay, but most especially for sheer work ethic & love of cast iron. I'm a decent cook, but never really enjoyed it because it always seemed like I was being forced to rush.

Switching to cast iron has helped by slowing things down, and we gained tons of shelf space by ditching all the various sizes & types of skillets, pots, pans, sheets, griddles, etc. Now we have a 3 Bears-type setup, plus a dutch oven & small crock pot. That's it.

Townsends has also helped me simplify things a lot and he touches on fermented foods often, which my German blood demands.

I've really been liking Wilderness Cooking lately. The guy cooks some really yummy stuff and gives it to assorted village ragamuffins when he's done. I'm sure he gets ad money and exposure out of it too but there are few things more Chad than cooking over open flame outdoors to feed the next generation. Super!

Reminds me of grandpa's kitchen. You'd probably enjoy it too. Old fucker lives next to an orphanage or something so he feeds it all to them. I legit got teary eyed when the channel dropped a new vid and it was his funeral 🥺

I watch him too what?? Fuck dude these guys are legends sad to see one go. Hopefully his legacy lives on.

Donut Operator, AKA the guy who does those police shooting breakdown videos, has a second channel called Donut Vlogerator. It's mostly daily life stuff, but he's got a fair few cooking videos on there as well and they're pretty good.
