Favorite Youtubers?

This channel has become one of my more recent favorites. The videos on here are very well researched and it's a Southern man who makes a lot of biographical videos about past celebrities like Lucille Ball, Andy Griffith, James Garner and many others. I even watched this video he did on Lynyrd Skynyrd and what happened a bunch of the band members in that plane crash that took place in the late 70s and this other video he did about private investigations.

I mostly just follow Let's Players on YouTube. My favorites are Vinesauce and Cr1tikal.

Joel's windows destruction videos are like a surreal trip down memory lane, at least for his XP destruction. The Windows 8 destruction is funny to this day. His love for 80's anime and manga is great too.

And cr1tikal is the nicest YouTuber ever, he's found something he enjoys and I wish him the best.

Robbaz, Sargon, and mans1ay3r. Kinda drifted away from YGOTAS after LK started releasing them less and less often.

The only guys I really follow are Stuart Ashen and Kiwidude. The former because he's always awesome, the latter because it's hilarious to watch a guy from New Zealand eating military rations from foreign countries and being bewildered a pack of Twizzlers or Combos.

Check out this guy. He's part of that "military food review" subculture on youtube, but he eats shit that's like 70+ years old and his reactions are priceless.

His videos are oddly relaxing though. His voice is like pure dopamine to me for some reasn

I mostly follow Countdown makers on Youtube with a few let's players. Among the countdown makers my faves are Joshscorcher, The Autarch (before he quit making countdowns), Fawful's Minion and The Green Scorpion. As for Let's Players I mainly follow Chuggaaconroy and Markiplier.

Surprised to see so many mentions of Chuggaconroy. I watched some of his stuff several years back but haven't kept up with him lately. Good to see Phelan getting mentions here, too. I only started watching him recently. Found him kind of annoying at first but his sense of humor won me over in the end.

I'm probably subbed to a thousand channels, so I'll just list a few off the top of my head.

Planet Dolan - Pretty interesting stylistically. While they're a "Top 10" channel, the videos are entertaining and interesting.

Peanut Butter Gamer - Been watching him for a few years now. He always seems energetic and does some physical comedy.

Razorfist - While he does have a thread on this site, I find his Metal/Music Mythos and retrospectives top notch. Thanks to his video on the band 'Razor', I found one of the best thrash metal albums I've ever listened to in Violent Restitution.

Classic Game Room - Good if you want a more straightforward review with no bells and whistles.

MisterMetokur - Been watching him since his days as InternetAristocrat. He even got me started looking into Gamergate and supporting it at the time. Even now, I find his oratory acumen to be the best.

Good Bad Flicks - Reviews some new movies but mostly concentrates on obscure, smaller budget movies. He goes into depth on what went on behind the scenes and how certain shots were made. Pretty interesting if you're into film making.

Gojira Godzilla Godzira Gozira Zilla - Makes YTPMVs. The best in his/her craft. Actually made a YTPMV of "Dancing Mad" from Final Fantasy VI using Spongebob Squarepants clips. If you can spare 12 minutes, check it out.

For like mindless shit, I quite like:
https://www.youtube.com/user/HaatFilms
Hat Films - On the surface it looks like your average shit tier gaming channel, but I think there's a layer of self awareness that makes it quite funny.

Fitzthistlewits - Quite an old channel which doesn't post any more, but all of the content is still good. A parody game reviewer.

For slightly more erudite content, I like:

Mark Brown - A game critique channel, but I always think he comes in from slightly more interesting angles than most other critique channels, often looking from the perspective of a developer.

Matthewmatosis - Another game critique channel. He only posts once every couple of months, but most of his videos are very long and look at lots of aspects of the games.

hbomberguy - A more political channel which takes the piss out of a lot of alt-right and anti-SJW types, as well as occasionally looking at films or games. For an added laugh, look at any of the comments sections under his videos, which are always full of bitter alt-righters (like Sargon of Akkad!)

Democracy At Work - I mainly like this channel for 'Global Capitalism' and 'Economic Update' videos, which are a Marxist analysis of current events and trends.

Subbed to too many channels. But if i had to pick some of my favorites..

Hoax Hotel - Pranks those scammers from India pretending to be tech support from Microsoft. Either that or fucking with money flip scammers from Instagram or fake agencies like FBI and CRA or fake police officers. You could learn some swearing in Hindu from that guy. Great background noise too.

Vinesauce - Love those guys, mostly Vinny and Joel. I started watching them after getting fed up with Game Grumps when Dan joined in.

Ashens - Hilarious guy reviewing shit. First discovered him from watching him play a bootleg Wii.

Jontron - No explanation. Guy is hilarious and i feel he made Game Grumps amazing at the time he was there.

And for something out of nowhere...

Cooking with Dog - I found this channel from looking at cooking recipes and it's so pleasant watching them cook many Japanese dishes. Someday i'll make em.

Welp, guess I'm gonna sperg a bit over some favorites

retsupurae
Probably my overall favorite channel, took the name George Wood from the guy in the NAViGaTR/Gaming in the Clinton Years videos they've riffed on. Besides some classics like BillyMC/Lime Popsicle and Electrical Beast vids, I'm not actually into too many of their early RPs. I think their content got a lot more interesting when they branched off from just riffing lets plays.

For the Dahir Insaat videos, I'd strongly recommend watching the first five in the playlist in order for max payoff. Tie Tuesday guest commentates in that series, love the streams and such he does too.

Besides that, I guess I watch Game Grumps pretty often, depending on what series they have going on. Not a fan of the JonTron era, even though I like the content he does on his own channel. Arin trying to hard to fill in the "grump" role can get on my nerves but I love Dan and most of the other guys on the channel.

And some others, in no particular order

Mostly just gaming channels like DYKGaming, Cinemassacre, AlphaOmegaSin, Son of a Glitch, Larry Bundy Jr, and a bunch of obscure vlogs. Listen to some political ones like Democracy At Work and SecularTalk as well. I'm not sure who my "favorite" youtuber is though, if I even have one. I'm also admittedly still a fan of Thunderf00t, even if he can be really full of shit. I also watch a fair amount of people I disagree with or even don't like most of the time, like TheAmazingAtheist or SargonofAkkad, to keep tabs on them and because very occasionally they have nuggets of goodness. My youtube habits are weird.

I enjoyed Larry's stuff about games from the UK. Those were pretty neat.

ProtonJon: My favorite YouTuber of all time. Started watching him back in 2010 when I saw his Mario RomHack videos. These days, he has a very sporadic upload schedule but it's usually very good. He also streams about once a week. He's also in TheRunawayGuys. Currently, I've absolutely love him and Lucahjin doing the America's Next Top Model LP which I find hilarious.

ChuggaConroy: Bad puns but he loves his video games. The amount of work he puts into his LPs is pretty staggering (especially his Xenoblade LP) and is certainly one of the best. He also does the editing for TheRunawayGuys as well

Ashens: Love his wit and commentary on what appears to be the most mundane of things. Credit is also given that he's the reason why China still has a bootleg market.

JonTron: He has great writing and great acting. What really amazes me, lately, are his production values. Most YouTubers have their rooms or green screen. JonTron has sets!

SomeCallMeJohnny: A third John on my list...I like just how down to earth Johnny is. He's not all about wacky antics. He's very calm and he genuinely sounds very courteous to his audience.

ProJared: I find him rather entertaining to watch. He really seems to shine during DnD month.
