I actually like, in a conceptual way, the idea of the puzzle pieces for the base of the figure. The execution is terrible, obviously, but that's a reasonable way to represent autism. I guess.

Edit: @Dr.Research just ninja'd me in the strangest way possible.

That's because it was never Chris's idea. Go do a Google image search for "Autism awareness."

I'm aware that it's a common symbol for autism, but using it as the pattern for the base is actually slightly clever from a design standpoint.

I can't tell which one is male and which is female. Even if I could they'd still look like shit.

Well, that is kind of not his idea either. All the Amiibo bases represent the game series they were meant for.

Do they? I only have four, but Marth (Fire Emblem), Pikachu (Pokemon), and Link (Legend of Zelda) all have the exact same base. I guess they are all in Smash, but so are most Nintendo characters.

Regardless, I still think Chris's base idea isn't terrible. The figures themselves, on the other hand...

Is this some form of abstract internalized hatred of his condition? I mean, Chris literally made it possible for him to beat the shit out of tiny retards in Smash Bros.

I kind of want to buy one and send it to my friend without telling him beforehand.

Okay, can I ask a question, is the autistic puzzle symbolic of the fact that autistic people have a crappy time bonding with actual people so they bond with puzzle pieces inanimate objects as opposed to human beings who literally sit down and try to figure each other out through facial expression, tone, movement.....ect. If this is true, I am sure Nintendo can create a lego sex robot for Chris to build from the ground up.

The more autistic thing is that there are autists out there who hate the puzzle logo because they take it literally and cry "we are not puzzle pieces". Legit true story.

They would look better in clown shirts. (No, they wouldn't)
