One of my architecture instructors was (still is) a top guy in the sustainable/green building trade, usually $500k+ homes but he advises on all levels of construction. He said housing developers in California have told him the water shortage is even worse than people realize, and the current water restrictions are nowhere near enough. There will have to be major lifestyle and agriculture changes out there. I forget the state, not California, but a 10-15 year old housing development had to basically be abandoned because they couldn't supply enough water to sustain it.
Interesting. I should think it would impact agriculture much more than residential homes; doesn't industrial agriculture account for something like 95% of the state's water usage?

Agriculture makes up the vast majority of water use here. Total residential use only accounts for about 10% of the state's water consumption. But basically all legislation and programs are targeting residential consumption.

If Chris is in such a jam for money, he should make his own binaural beats and try to market them as a yearly subscription using himself as a testimonial.
I am sure he'd be more successful at that than trying to sell a poor misused tractor.

Farmer Chris could slap some beets together like headphones and sell them as "Beets by Chris" and no one could get mad because he didn't lie in the description and theyre buying from Chris

As for the question if there will ever grow grass at 14 BC again: Look at that clusterfuck of a run-down house from above. Soon the hobgoblins will be moving in.

By the way, "CWC Home" is a "historical landmark" on Google Maps

Someone needs to call up and see what's the furthest Barb will send Chris out to deliver it if a mileage charge is included. She'd probably send him to Timbuktu if it meant being able to buy a few dozen more pairs of socks for the Hoard.

Why does that plot have so many fucking trees? It doesn't even look safe.

It's funny how it's the only home totally surrounded by trees. Maybe all those roots are sucking up the nutrition from the grass? Not to mention there's barely any sunlight.

Because big business, like usual, has the clout to say "take us out of your crosshairs or else".
