Sometimes, probably. I personally don't recall that being used to refer to a riding mower.

Technically, riding mowers are referred to as 'Lawn Tractors'. Tractor tends to refer to the larger rear wheels.

Riding mowers can also be called garden tractors, but that name refers to a slightly larger tractor that is more heavily built to pull a plow for tilling small garden plots.

This is kind of a weird situtation.

Even though it's almost certain we're passed the days of major chimping, I think this has the highest probability of a response (even more so than Mark the Tapir) because Barb's involved. If she starts getting calls, she'd be immediately angry at Chris.

However, the fact that they're advertising on Chris' facebook is interesting; Barb knows that they'll get calls from weens/trolls. Perhaps she is actually hoping that it would be them who'd pay the price, just because it would give an opportunity to meet Chris. I very much doubt this, but advertising the number is fairly unusual at this stage.

At the very least, they must be especially desperate for money.

in all honesty the state that house is in, no offense but also with the filth, the fire damage that has happened (sure they fixed it, but u know) and everything i think someone would just buy the lot, tear that place down and put a new house there.

Barb knows her audience, because there is gonna be some ween who will want to pay the full price so they can "troll" Chris.

Probably, depends on the purpose they are buying it for.

That type of house often attracts buyers who are interested in flipping. Visually unappealling structures drive the price down, so it can be gotten on the cheap. That type of buyer would be likely to do a lot of work.

But the depressed price could atttract other types of buyers too. Someone might want it to rent it out. In that case, they will probably do a fair bit of work, but are not likely to tear down and rebuild a structurally sound house.

It could also attract people who want a house but don't have a lot of money. This type of buyer would probably do a fair bit of DIY fixes, but won't have the money to do a tear down.

Don't they have a shed or greenhouse they could keep their mowers in? Or has it been claimed by the Hoard too? I know it's too much to ask but Chris could have taken a water hose and at least cleaned it up a bit and washed the leaves out. It snowed in Ruckersville last year and even if it's been under a tarp the blade probably needs to be replaced. Lawn tractors are so cheap now someone could probably buy a new one for what the Chandlers are asking for theirs.

And after a bit of internet detective work, I can confirm that this thing was bought over five years ago (October 26th, 2011) at a purchase price of $1399.99, or $1473.15 with sales tax. Normally I'd say that Chris is lying about it only being used a few times, but he is so goddamned lazy that it's entirely possible that its only been used once a year.

And look, here's one that's brand new from the same model year:

I had to laugh at this ad. In the listing the guy says it was driven off delivery truck, into garage and never used. I thought that seemed strange. Right as I wonder if the dude is in California I take a look at the photo and see the totally brown lawn in the background. He's in California.

Poor guy bought a shiny new riding lawnmower for his lawn right as the drought and then major water use restrictions hit CA. He held on to it hoping one day he would once again have a lawn to mow, but has now given up all hope and is selling the damn thing.
