That's actually kind of sad. Not having family you love around on Christmas really stings. As weird as the mom and reincarnation parts are, I still understand the sentiment he's trying to express.
 
Bob is dead, Barb is mentally gone, Chris is getting worse (and he cannot blame any trolls this time around), and Cole is pissing away money in NY.

Only December 9th, and it looks like Chris is staying up all night, feeling nostalgic. Will we see Chris act out again in public on the 26th after Santa lets him down again? 16 days left for Chris to build impossible expectations. We all know Barb is too feeble, selfish, and uncaring to play Santa and slip anything other than a can of potted meat under the tree for Chris.

Well to be fair she's one foot and a half in the grave already so he might as well get used to missing her now.

I think people are willing to feel for Chris when it comes to this because it's something most people have to deal, or have dealt with in their lives. He loved his father and for all his faults you can't deny that.

On the reverse side though, he was a pretty shitty son and a disappointment to Bob, especially in his latter years.

Bob should have been allowed to die peacefully instead of worrying over his son's Tomgirl phase and trying to manage his financies because he couldn't resist getting extra credit cards to buy constant new toys and games. Even before that Chris was a constant disappointment. Bob wasn't perfect himself but he deserved better Christmases than the one where he got given a VHS of a television series Chris had recorded on the TV as well.

Maybe my sympathy for him just peaked when he had that touching 'I miss you every day Mr C,' moment during one of his videos on Jeff last year.
 
Yeah I can't ween very hard at this, besides the misgendering others have joked about. Christmas has gotta be a hard time for Chris without Bob. His Christmas' since 2007 have only gotten sadder each time.
 
*facepalm*

So Chris couldn't be half-assed to find a proper tribute for his deceased father. Well, at least he remembered him, so I -suppose- I can't give him too much of a hard time right now.
