I will never see why Ed, Edd, and Eddy had any appeal.

Is he still a hater of all men, even the ones who share his biggest interest? I think by now he'd have made a couple of Brony friends to asspat him on Failbook.
Just as well. He'd quickly try to make all group discussion focus on him. It's like that time he got banned from sharing of joys and concerns at his Church. People were talking about having babies or ill relatives and Chris was fucking talking about trolls and shit, and probably demanded people pay more attention to his problem.

Agreed so hard. Since I'm adding to the cartoon derail, I don't know why they had to add that nerd character and annoyify the little girl at the tail end of Johnny Bravo's run.

Ed, Edd and Eddy was the only one of those shows that was even remotely funny.
I definitely loved Ed, Edd and Eddy, even just taking it at face value. But I liked a lot of other shows on Cartoon Network too.LordCustos3 said:My contribution to the derail"

It also becomes alot more interesting if you follow the fan'tard hypothesis that the entire show takes place in purgatory and everyone (except Plank) is dead.
Think really isn't the case. Like, you're probably on target about the perverts and possibly correct about why people are becoming bronies, but I think that not every brony being creepy or weird is not a reasonable statement to make. Like, on the scales we're dealing with, internet scales, obviously from a literal standpoint, not literally every brony will be creepy or weird. But when the exceptions are down to just a handful of separate people, those sort of scales aren't really useful for anything. At those scales, you could be saying things like "not every nazi's racist." While yes, in a technical sense, that's definitely possible. But such a rare possibility that it's not really worth considering. I think that, at least for the group of people who specifically identify themselves as "bronies," they're almost consistently, inherently incredibly creepy, obnoxious nerds.Doge said:I don't necessarily have a problem with the show and can genuinely understand why people enjoy it. The brony culture though, is less about the show and more about being in the community. I think a good number of people flocked to it because of the fandom rather than the show, and they sperged over it because that's what the community did and it was cool to do. They think it's hip to be part of it and so they go wild. Furthermore, it can be easily sexualized. This makes it just ripe to attract a disturbing following. That's not to say every person who watches MLP is creepy or even weird, of course.
Picklepower said:Isnt it kind of funny how many people here will make fun of bronies while at the same time, they are fans of fucking Pokemon or furry fandom? I stopped even talking about bronies really cuz I realized that as someone who likes furry stuff, and Dc comics, and anime stuff, that it would be kinda hypocritical. Honestly from what Ive seen, a lot of the normal people that just happen to watch the show, will label themselves, "bronies".
Marvin said:But to be fair, I guess there might be a few adults out there who watch MLP on their own time, but don't call themselves bronies.
To be fair, every fandom has less savory elements. EVERY. FANDOM.CatParty said:To accept or turn a blind eye to the less savory elements of a fandom is to condone them.

As much as how some of us make fun of bronies despite being part of another fandom be it furry, Pokémon, or other fandoms, it isn't really hypocritical. The bronies that we mock are pretty much the kind that would fall under lol-cow territory. We don't laugh at some brony who proves to be normal guy, we laugh at the brony who ALL CAPS spergs at Hasbro just because of Twilicorn and Equestria Girls. Getting to the other fandom part, some of us may be part of a group that gets mocked (such as furries) but we do acknowledge the fact that the group we are a part of has the people that make it a target for trolls. Besides, the "making fun of a fandom" thing can get ridiculous (not to mention hypocritical for obvious reasons) if you were to literally sperg, letting everyone remember how much you hate this group and see them as Hitler, even if everyone already knows it and wishes you to stop sperging.Picklepower said:Isnt it kind of funny how many people here will make fun of bronies while at the same time, they are fans of fucking Pokemon or furry fandom? Batman said:WiseOldBadger said:I really don't think Johnny Bravo could be made today though. I think probably because the whole show sort of makes light of sexual harassment, and sort of objectifies women ( before they inevitably beat Johnny's Greaser ass.)
Im not saying its a "sexist" show, I just think networks wouldn't want to risk running it now
It actually had a couple of revivals. They did two Johnny Bravo specials fairly recently. While I agree that society has become too PC, I think that any network that showed it would fall back on the standard 'It's a kid's show' defence.

Shut the fuck up. Courage the Cowardly Dog was the best thing to happen to anything at any time.
