When he reaches Missouri, agents from the MO Kiwi cell will be at each Greyhound location, awaiting orders.

Do you think this trip is a trap by his mother to get Phil institutionalized? Maybe she's heard the stories of Phil's California adventures and is going to get him the involuntary psychiatric help and confinement he desperately needs.
 
Phil's mom should have some kind of means of defense with her, so she's not assaulted by giant potato people.

I'm really wishing I knew her, or knew someone who did, just in case. As upsetting as it is to see what Phil has turned into, it's more upsetting to think about Ahuviya taking out her issues on someone who can't defend herself.

If Phil's mother was going to set a trap, it should be a couple of black officers waiting for that potato to show up so they can serve him a restraining order.
