EDIT: Just spit balling but im assuming the new router you're getting will have IPS features built in (It fucking better have for that sort of money) you may be able to do some layer 2 packet filtering to stop the duff traffic getting through into the network but then again it will still fuck your line if the firewall / router is getting hit that hard.
