Postmortem February 12th DDoS Attack

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The DDoS guy seems to just be hitting random IPs on my subnet in frustration.
I wonder if the Russian hacker that the trannies are paying to DDoS the Farms is charging extra for the added work he's needing to put in now that the mitigation is in place...

Hey, I just thought I would let you know my experience for the past hour or so.

Been routing my internet through PIA's Houston VPN by default. This has worked before and during the DDoS attack.

Today though is different. PIA Houston and Atlanta, don't seem to be able to get through. Switched to PIA Chicago a couple of minutes ago and am getting through just fine now.

I have no clue what that means, but I thought I would let people know. I hope that helps someone.

I legitimately have no fucking clue what's going on anymore or if everything's set up or if it's not. I have no idea.
Me either. Even the VPN sites that actually work seem to be changing. Atlanta stopped working for me. Then Germany worked. Then France worked.

I wonder if it's worth trying VPN sites in countries that are probably being overlooked. Whilst I'd expect a VPN tunneling through Albania or South Africa to be as slow as a wet week, at least it'd be consistently slow rather than up and down like it is through VPN servers in first world countries.

Connecting through London is the only successful method I've found in the last hour. I tried a bunch of different US cities as well as Germany & all of them failed.

Oof. Pretty rough the last couple hours. Only got on because I switched to London. This last half of the day is the worst so far for me.

On the other hand I pulled the new rare foil from a pack.

This shit is taking over the meta right now.

If you guys are planning to post threads or cow OPs that are big, I'd probably say to refrain from saving the text or attaching media directly to KF for now until this all blows over. Last time a big DDoS like this happened there was a backup problem and some forum posts and threads were lost for the day it happened, which included an non-English news article I translated and posted. Had to rewrite all that from scratch.

Look out Kiwis! It's the Troon Gang here to DDoS the farms!

EDIT: I wish I could embed videos from Invidious instances, as it would be age-restricted if I tried posting the YouTube video directly.

The site is VERY fast or doesn't load at all. Hopefully they get the filtering tuned and the routing stable. Having to wait a few mins between hitting Reload or jiggle my VPN's a lil' bit is way better then the site being down for days.

On the bright side KF.CC seems very stable now. Always loads now.

I'm sure in a weeks time when the trannies have spent tens of thousands on a DDOS only for the website to still be running, they'll be happy with what they've accomplished.
Trannies chop their cock up out of spite and ram a piece of plastic in the wound to keep it from closing.
When the peak moment of victory in their lives is genital mutilation, they will take every win they can get.

Truth is though, this might not be trannies at all. When something like the kiwi farms exists, the number of organizations, individuals, and communities that will go out of their way to try and disrupt it are so ubiquitous, it's easier to just lump them all into a single group. Sadly, it's just the cost of business for talking about weirdos on the internet.
