Being fat deserves to be made fun of.If they do something that deserves being made fun of
I believe any -ism (religion, ideology) is full of adherents who cherrypick what they like, so it is highly individualized. At its core, feminism is the belief in equal rights for women. To me, I don't believe in the modern shitlib takes like 'sex work is empowering' or 'free the nipple' because those solve absolutely nothing. You aren't oppressed by *choosing* to be a porn actor or being prevented from being topless. It's made up oppressions. What I do believe is that many women and girls are oppressed around the world by *actual* patriarchies (see: Africa, Middle East) and deserve equal rights and safety from male violence. In the Western world, I believe women deserve equal rights (mostly achieved) and safe, separate spaces from men where men could be a potential threat (domestic violence shelters, prisons, sports). I do not believe all men are inherently bad or oppressive, but a lot of men need to deconstruct how they view women (esp. in true patriarchies--the US/Canada/Western Europe aren't patriarchies).Dumb question but are there people who without any doubt would identify themselves as feminist on this thread? If so, how do you define it? I know it's a dumb midwit-tier question but I'm not looking to argue, I'm just curious.
In addition, do you think it's okay to make fun of fat women?

lol, you boasted about your ignore list.* to a mutual on Xitter
- yes
- centering women politically and socially by default
- no [good-natured ribbing is okay* but ridicule for its own sake is low behavior; that being said, hypocrisy is a human failing]

I had to temporarily unignore this to see it.lol, you boasted about your ignore list.
Making fun of fat woman is all I have left. Please.
I had to temporarily unignore this to see it.
I was explicitly directed by multiple forum members, including mods, &c. to ignore people.
As you were.
I own one but I don't know if I consider myself a real feministYou’re not a real feminist if you don’t own a necklace of the Venus symbol
Best you can do to be a feminist is support other women but always remember to consider what your needs and wants are first. Of course I’m saying this as a man pissing testosterone in this thread. Symbol of Mars tattooed on my forehead.I own one but I don't know if I consider myself a real feminist![]()
this is unironically the first time I've read the symbol mentioned by name as opposed to the female venus one lolSymbol of Mars tattooed on my forehead.
Well it’s better than saying male or female symbol, because using the names of the Roman pantheon/planets is more badass.yeah i mean im a #certified woman lover and supporter but I don't align perfectly with any branches of feminism at the moment, which im sure is also something that happens to most sensible people in any ideology

i thought boys went to jupiter...
oh for sureusing the names of the Roman pantheon/planets is more badass.
I was always told Venus was the shield and Mars was the sword. Makes sense because you can use one in a battle but with both you’re the most effective, like how you need both a man and a woman.oh for sureno complains there, space is awesome
as a kid i was told the venus symbol was a mirror and the mars symbol a bow. I don't know if it's true, but I remember thinking that it was retarded because bows seemed way cooler![]()

Pretty neat info. I assumed because the shield protects and the sword attacks was my logic.View attachment 5818111
The venus symbols were of a necklace and a mirror.

The mars symbol is of a spear, not as sword.
People always think of the sword when they think of war, but it was the spear that was superior in almost every way. The main reason we think of the sword is because swords carried more status
The original symbols for venus and mars were:

Also more technically it doesn't make sense because you generally don't want women near a battle, either for their sake or for men's sake. Men and women complete each other no doubt, but women's contribution to a war effort is generally more effective when they're kept from the front, also because it prevents men from doing dumb heroics, as they tend to go overboard trying to save women, when they're more rational when deciding whether to save men.
