I doubt Daisuke even knew what trans was when he came up with Bridget.

I like GG, but I don't keep up with the story but I thought the whole reason why Bridget became a bounty hunter was to prove his masculinity? Like he has a chip on his shoulder to prove his masculinity from being forced to pretend to be a girl.

Yes.

The lore was that the town he was from considered twin boys to be a gigantic curse and would bring disaster to everyone in the town. Most younger male twins were put to death, but Bridget's parents had the great idea of just lying about it and making the younger twin (him) present and act like a girl.

He left town in an effort to find his own success, return as a wealthy man, thereby proving the town wrong about their superstition. However, he got canonically groomed and transed by a fat weirdo - so the town was apparently 100% correct about the supersition.

Evo Awards.

The Fighting Game Community (tm) version of the Oscars/Grammys complete with navel-gazing circle-jerking starring the usual shills (Justin Wong, Maximillian Dude etc) and is just a glorified excuse to hand awards to nigs in a shiny corporatized veneer in a bloated overlong 6 hours format (Hollywood can do it in an hour or 2, FGC has no excuse).

What the fuck is this shit. Even the cosplay award goes to a Street Fighter 6 nigger character who nobody uses (but at least the cosplayer herself is a normal looking light-skin Black woman).

This is figuratively nothing more than sucking their own cock (with the odd random scantily clad female cosplayer with an OnlyFans account to make the event slightly less gay) and it makes me want to vomit.

Does anyone here remember a YouTuber named Event Status? He used to do videos around GamerGate that were pretty interesting and later on he would not mince words about the FGC. Is he still around in any meaningful way? Or is he just doing his boxing stuff now? He used to take shots at LTG all the time and I think he rolled with a guy named BlackPreon.

It's rough... i started getting into fighting games suring the pandemic, so just a little bit before the FGC became totally flushed with saudi Cash and went full corpo-shit. At this point, i just can't give a single fuck about the same assholes flying around the World to play their bingbingwhahoos anymore.
It doesn't help that all new games have braindead build in pressure and CotW will end up as DNF Duel with Exekution.

I liked it casually slopping around with some work friends, just playing online feels so sterile to me so I don't tend to. The crowds that play in-person these days are so shitty that I don't see any other option though.
