I'm waiting on @PrincessHomura to respond to see if he still has any of the writings regarding Ultrachen, the team of James Chen and David 'Ultradavid' Graham before I start writing about them, because they're a barrel of laughs themselves. They're both currently on the BLM bandwagon and David is one of those jews that doesn't consider himself white.

That match was crazy and the aftermath of it is indicative of why we’re only now putting together a thread on the FGC in spite of DSP, LTG, Sonicfox, and the Smashers being on our radar for years. The same political madness that’s been making everything shit for years has finally started to wreak havoc on the community proper; and that’s now boosting the egos of the organizers and clout chasers while putting most of the competitors on edge for fear of getting thrown out of every tournament or getting mobbed and beaten. In most esports the main events are invitationals, but for the FGC if it isn’t open entry it usually isn’t shit. Most spectators for a fighting game tournament also competed in that tournament, where that wouldn’t be the case for say The International. Everyone paying attention to this that thinks about going to any event is going to be genuinely on edge compared to someone who spectates Dota, or League, or CSGO.

Here's some oldies. A few were already posted as I wrote this, but here's the archives and some more context. First up is "Cryin' Brian," a guy (under the tag of "Murphy") who broke down in tears because he lost a money match, although a horde of spectators antagonizing him didn't help.

He's still in the scene, and Kotaku had a decent enough article on Cryin' Brian's exposure and what he's been doing since. Here's the context of the above clip.

The legend of Cryin’ Brian began at Youmacon in 2012. Every year, the Detroit, Michigan convention hosts a variety of fighting game tournaments, and Murphy (known back then as “Karate Lincoln”) was in attendance to try his hand at Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. In order to get some experience, Murphy challenged Noel Brown and Christopher “Footwurk” Leggett to money matches, or unofficial casuals with cash on the line.

Murphy lost $90 and, emotional, stepped away from the setup. Unfortunately for him, Footwurk belonged to an infamous group of fighting game players known as C.O.R.N. (or the Coalition of Real Niggas), who in their heyday wholly embraced the community’s loud, in-your-face reputation. As soon as they saw Murphy crying, they shoved a camera in his face for an impromptu interview. While the original upload has been lost, duplicates on YouTube and World Star Hip Hop have kept its spirit alive.

“Why’re you crying?” the cameraman demands of Murphy.

“Because I just lost $90,” he explains.

“You’re crying because you lost money?”

“Yes.”

“Why would you money match Noel Brown?”

“Because I wanted to play good players.”

I feel like if OP is up for it is for him to start compiling a lot of the lore we posted and organize it a bit better. My idea would have specific players and events put behind spoilers to make it easier to read. That was one of the reasons previous attempts fell through is because there's beefs still going on from the 90's.

Mike Ross & Gootecks: The 2 hosts of the Excellent Adventures series where they'd have pro players come on and play games and have some laughs. After SF5 released Mike Ross had a mental breakdown and Gootecks is slipping hard and struggling to stay relevant.

James Chen & Ultradavid: Already posted about them here, but James Chen is a super turbo boomer trying to ride the woke wave and has also commentated GDQ and Tetris. Ultradavid is a self hating jew that claims to be an esports attourney.

Infiltration: Again already posted most of his deets but anytime someone gets cancelled people keep crying "wut about infiltration????"

Mike Watson: I just wanted to give him a shoutout because sadly his saga already ended. He was the owner of the California Super Arcade that was the originally locale for Wednesday Night Fights. Did a kickstarter that got like 30k for him to renovate a space he didn't even own. Not even 6 months after he renovates he gets kicked out and spends the next 4 or so years trying to re-open at another location then that local doesn't even last 6 months because it's barcade or bust hombre.

Again the list is a work in progress so let me know if there is anyone else that we should be looking at.

As a general statement, I don't think that the FGC is ever going to fully go "woke". All the whiny SJWs who complain about how "toxic" it is don't understand just how true the brotherhood is that's fostered through the FGC.
If events ever go "woke", it's going to result in those events being eventually ignored in favor of more open speech tournaments. The FGC is a community that lives on the fun of trash talk and what SJWs would call "toxic masculinity".
