Whoever made the decision to give everyone some in Tural some almost cartoonish latin american accents should go step on a rusty nail
Overall in spite of their sperging about wanting to be authentic and not un pc they end up making a setting that looks fine in the ancient bits, but any sort of more modern bits like the town itself, how the people act and shit is so cookie cutter and not really "authentic" to whatever the fuck pastiche of ancient spics they tried to do, somehow a nation that wasnt colonized or whatever still ended up with generic american west bullshittery whose only real native touches were some painted designs
My first thought is that they wanted to avoid some sort of obvious parallels to history by making the eorzeans hecking equal big chungus to them but then Sphene's people just did that analogy in a very hamfisted manner

Zorall Ja's heel turn was kinda forced and it was clear that they wanted the smuggery of building up Bakool as the obvious big bad but then giving him a heel turn in a single dungeon. I honestly liked this bit on Paper but i ts mostly sandwiched by him being cartoonishly evil and then the story forgets about him after the invasion, it would have been great to see him go with you throughout the plot aftewards and then maybe redeem himself by mentoring Gulool-Ja JR in place of Otis, but the story just kinda forgets, which kinda fucking miffed me because he was the only character that had some actual growth or catharsis in his arc
