Not in Balmung, but I assure you Crystal DC PF is barren of High-end content compared to other DC's with its population.
I'd say about 90% PF is RP related...

I think the only actual plot hook from 7.0 was the dimensional fusion key, and the namedrop of "Preservation" being the organisation that invented it and Living Memory. I want to hope there'll be a cool story there, since the name seemed too specific for a random background detail and it pairs with the rebels in Alexandria being called Oblivion.
But it'll probably just be rogue Ascians at best.
 
We have four Ascians left we know nothing about and Yoshi P did say to remember the convocation of the 14 so I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one had some involvement. At this point it doesn’t even matter whether or not Ascians are involved as the plot will be equally awful regardless of if they’re used or something else is behind it.

I feel like Yoshi's recommendation to remember the names of the convocation is a lifeline he left there just in case people hated the direction Dawntrail takes us (which seems to be the case so far)

Been playing Monk, it is fun to chain up attacks. It clicks with me in the same way SAM did. Highly considering getting a relic weapon for it, dont know which one yet.

ok here's every monk weapon that isn't crafted/drops somewhere/was direct tomestone exchange at one point

ARR: Looks like Coeurl heads, turns into Coeurl claws later.
ARR (Meme Version): KETTLE KNUCKLES (Doesn't require you to do the ARR MNK relic if you've already done a Zeta.)
HW: Baghnakhs, turns into spiked gloves later then back into Baghnakhs for the final step.
HW (POTD): Oversized red glowing claws.
SB: Gloves (Anemos), turns into gauntlets till you're almost done with Hydatos then into Patas.
SB (HOH): Glowing Baghnakhs.
ShB: Tonfas, turn into gauntlets. Final step is considered short gloves (it only covers 4 of your fingers on each hand) and so doesn't give you the partial-sleeves version of your top unlike most monk gauntlet-type weapons, and if you don't like the glowing overlay you can buy the Matte Replica.
EW: Some kind of dragon heads, turns into gauntlets, last step looks like cyberpunk gloves. For some fucking reason there isn't a Matte Replica for the final stage but there is for the third stage.
EW (Orthos): These are basically bladed tonfa.
EW (Exquisite Tomestone or AAIS): Gauntlets that are considered short gloves, but will actually have part of their design covered if you have long sleeves. The weapon looks like a chinese dragon's head and has glowing fire frothing from its mouth if Exquisite.

PVP (Hellhound): Bladed knuckles
PVP (Tropaios): Small hora.
PVP (Makai): Gauntlets that are considered short gloves, while in combat has some glowing kanji.

Maps (Figmental): Fucking shark heads. They sometimes open and close their mouths on their own while in combat.

I've learned that the best part of being an omnicrafter is now I don't need the Credendum gear which frees up my Poetics for the Mandeville relic dump
