So i finished Arcadion and i bet this Metem fellow is a fucking ascian because it feels so obvious. First tier of Arcadion was enjoyable. Second tier has honestly been the most fun i had doing raids in the game. Currently finished the fight against totally not Beatrix from the hit serie FF9 and the design of the boss looks super cool although the fight itself is a bitch cause i would sometime step on the purple puddle of death and die. As for Arcadion my favorite fight is Howling Blade because his design is fucking sick and it has Freedom Gundam wings and overall i enjoy the fast paced fights. MSQ is whatever at this point, i mentally checked after killing my nigga Zooral Ja. Overall aside from the MSQ, the content has been super fun for me and im looking forward to the bozja/Eureka hybrid zone.


Also finished BLM and now im currently lvl 30 with marauder and about to get the Warrior gem.

Oh, I meant how Wuk's production sounded. Bryer sounded 'cleaner' and my impression is that there was less production fuckery to try and shine that particular turd because the NA studio was sick of coating their hands in shit.

E: Yeah, it feels like Real Speen is being set up to be possessed or whatever by the Simulant. But I'd argue that it's likely going to come down to some sort of sacrifice (probably for Troon Cat) rather than possession.

Because it's been a while since a 'main character' was killed and it can't be Troon Cat.

Really? I found Furry Gundam pretty underwhelming. Also I feel like he has a tiny head and it makes him look weird.
Walmart Squidgirl was also underwhelming. Slurmz Mackenzie and Cyclops Flower were the best.

The totally not splatoon reference boss is my second favorite just because the mechanic is fun and the stage with the river and grass reminds me of a diorama(im a diorama enjoyer)

I like the mechanics but the more I think about the fight the less sense it makes thematically. Not only is it weird for a graffiti artist to paint a river scene, she's from Solution Nine. Their entire outside world is a lightning wasteland she shouldn't really have cacti, sunny deserts or open rivers come to mind unless Alexandrians have virtual landscape holodecks or something.

I forgot who said but in 7.0 it is mentioned that Endless-Sphene's crown is a regulator, like it's common knowledge or at least people know about it. Now, you could ask a few questions about that. Why does she need one if she's an AI controlling different robot bodies? Does that mean she's able to slap her appearance on top of the robots, physically transferring her body, regulator and all?

Hiroi's answer would probably be for you to stop fucking noticing things, you're supposed to be paying attention to Wuk Lamat having a big ol' troonbian crush on Endless-Sphene. (While I'm being facetious about that, I noticed that DT once again goes for the sympathy for the devil villains like Ishikawa's writing...only Hiroi's approach is that Wuk Lamat likes and trusts Sphene, so the narrative treats her as sympathetic and assumes the player should too. The other's skepticism to her doesn't just evaporate once Wuk takes a liking to her, it ceases to exist narratively.)

The second I saw Real Speen last patch I figured she's going to sacrifice herself to help stop the big bad climactic boss of this story arc.

I had a couple wipes on the stack marker where only half the party actually shared the damage and got dropped, because everyone was split across the adds and didn't pay attention. But I don't think I've seen the party wipe solely due to the dps check.

Husband and I had this happen a couple times. Definitely feels like the retardation slider has been bumped up a bit, we've had some miserable DPS players tonight.

I loved the story in this game, once. It wasn't art. It wasn't flawless. But it was enjoyable. That was before Dawntrail. The story has thrown out any sense of continuity and consistency in favor of making a cat voice acted by a tranny the new main character, with our WOL relegated to sucking Wuk's girlcock between dungeons.

All of our Scion allies are reduced to 2D caricatures of who they once were. All established lore and worldbuilding is forgotten. Promises made in Endwalker to characters like Graha are ignored. Everything is warped and twisted for the needs of The Cat. Nothing else matters but how cool and special and uwu random quirky Wuk Lamat is and don't you just LOVE Wuk Lamat?! Why would you want to, oh say, explore Blue Mage which supposedly comes from Tural when you could be talking to Wuk Lamat instead? GO TALK TO WUK LAMAT!


If it sounds like I'm mad on the internet, I am. Give me my hats because I don't often get invested into video games; I usually pick them up, enjoy them for a handful of hours, and move on. FFXIV was the first game to really capture my attention in years and Dawntrail sabotaged all of that. I want my 600 hours back.







...So yeah. That's how Dawntrail is.

Of course she is, the writers desperately need reasons to shove these characters in a trash can and promptly forget about them. Like Lady Squall of the FF4 references.

Or so I would hope given the reception DT had in general. I, however, just can't shake off the knowledge that this is the same company that financed "magic negress game" to the tune of over 100 million; they are perfectly capable of being amazingly retarded.

Managed to beat the stupid frog. Unfortunately I'm not degen enough to take PTO so Splatoon girl will have to wait till later.
