Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

A pit of despair that swallows any previous joy one may have taken from the game. Should have just let Meteion end it all.

I loved the story in this game, once. It wasn't art. It wasn't flawless. But it was enjoyable. That was before Dawntrail. The story has thrown out any sense of continuity and consistency in favor of making a cat voice acted by a tranny the new main character, with our WOL relegated to sucking Wuk's girlcock between dungeons.

All of our Scion allies are reduced to 2D caricatures of who they once were. All established lore and worldbuilding is forgotten. Promises made in Endwalker to characters like Graha are ignored. Everything is warped and twisted for the needs of The Cat. Nothing else matters but how cool and special and uwu random quirky Wuk Lamat is and don't you just LOVE Wuk Lamat?! Why would you want to, oh say, explore Blue Mage which supposedly comes from Tural when you could be talking to Wuk Lamat instead? GO TALK TO WUK LAMAT!

If it sounds like I'm mad on the internet, I am. Give me my hats because I don't often get invested into video games; I usually pick them up, enjoy them for a handful of hours, and move on. FFXIV was the first game to really capture my attention in years and Dawntrail sabotaged all of that. I want my 600 hours back.

...So yeah. That's how Dawntrail is.
Sorry chud, but maybe you need to check the chart.

Now did you learn your lesson, hmmm?

Veyn's Boss Mod now has WIP Deep Dungeon automation. (Very WIP, it repeatedly runs into walls or paces the same steps equally split between 2 different desires.)

I'd say that nothing is sacred to cheaters, but deep dungeons honestly deserve it with how hostile they are to players with double digit ping.

If you're away for just a few seconds, the duty automatically closes itself. Because SE forces you to log out before being able to log back in again for some absurd reason, having a minor internet outage causes you to fail the entire run. Combined with the fact that DCs are more common because of a flawed implementation of anticheat because yes, deep dungeons are the only place in the game where you aren't allowed to teleport hack, congratulations you have wasted over 5 hours of your time because of something that literally wasn't even in your control.

To add onto this, in a floor 1-100 run that I did myself with multiboxed alts it was a level 70 map session but the point still stands, when I encountered a connection error that disconnected all four of my characters from the game, I was able to return on one of them to see all three of the other ones still all visibly ingame. SE's bad handling of session ID tokens causes this. Why is there even a session token if the only thing that you do with it is stop accepting it after 72 hours? Just detect that the session that is attempting to log in is the exact same session as the one that just disconnected, and let them back in.
As a bonus, you should also use the session ID token as part of the hash for the Account IDs that are visible to the client to make it considerably harder for players to use a fucking spreadsheet to reverse engineer them, since there's no reason for the session ID token to be visible literally anywhere in the client.

I'm out of date, have they added any new hot cat or bunny girls?
New female hrothgar custom delivery NPC, but that's not exactly "hot" unless you're a furry or some shit.
I guess there's the viera from the role quests too?

Also Sphene.
Yes, a different Sphene. There are two of them now.

Nah fuck that. It's already bad enough that these tards are automating getting the Accursed title (which, to be fair, is basically just a SHIT TON of mindless farming, so I can see that) but automating DDs? Yeesh.

The DC issue is very rare and if you do get DC'd on a run where you're high you can wait either 12 or 24 hours before logging back in and your run should be salvaged.

It's dumb but yeah.

Yep, I would have gone for and gotten Negromancer and Lone Hero titles a long time ago but my connection isn't reliable enough for me to even attempt it.

That depends entirely on your Internet.

Look at how far away from the red circle (PalacePal's potential trap vision, shows the hitbox) I am. The AI thinks that the circle is actually larger and for some reason doesn't want to go around to get to the Palace Sprite, so it does nothing and lets it fireball it. (The white circle is a potential Hoard location, ignore it.)

I can't be bothered to make a GIF of it repeatedly pacing.

Allegedly this is based on instance server usage rate. It's also guaranteed to be saved after a maintenance.

I mean, that really isn't an issue on SE's side. Where do you live that your Internet can't be reliable for an hour at a time?
Anywhere rural is liable to have service interruptions, and it has to be perfect for 6-8 hours. Even a small hiccup can kick your teeth in. Just yesterday when progging M5S I had a small hiccup. Even though my Internet recovered pretty quickly, FFXIV still stalled for like a minute after and then booted me to the menu for DC'ing.

Deep Dungeons have 10 floorsets of 10 floors each. (POTD has 20.), and if you get that hiccup ONCE you have to start all over again from floor one.
Yes, I'm well aware. I've done Palace, HoH and EO, but you only have 1 hour per floor set. You don't have to marathon them.

Regardless if you do them back-to-back you need to have 8ish hours of perfect connection

You don't have to marathon them.
That literally doesn't matter. You don't need to have good connection for one hour, you need to have it for multiple because there are multiple floorsets. The achievement is for clearing floor 100 (200 for POTD), solo. Not floor 10.

How doesn't it matter when you're booted out of the Deep Dungeon anyway between floorsets? That's his point. You can do one set at a time while your internet is being reliable.

Like, I get it if you're trying to make the point that you can't account for your internet staying reliable for those floorsets, so there's always a chance you DC mid-run and have to start it all over again, but I think you're stressing the wrong thing here despite already articulating that point.

That's the entire point you retard. You don't know your Internet isn't "being reliable" until it drops for the 5 seconds that's long enough to kick your shit in.
