90% of the people who want one will never fucking do anything with their house anyway, and we already have apartments/FC rooms and islands for those players. I don't see the housing system as that egregiously bad.
Ignoring the whole 'housing is for everyone' thing, which, yeah, fair on WoW....
In what is a long-standing tradition with XIV, the housing UI is pretty terrible and lacks a lot of common sense features you'd think it would have.
You either have to use a third party plugin or fuck around with in-game glitches to do simple things.
From what I've seen of WoW's housing system,
assuming they are able to deliver, it is going to be way more robust than XIV's. The people who care about this shit should be envious.
They just need to get rid of the submarine gil farming and it'd be fine.
This is such an overblown complaint, imo. The effort/startup timesink in getting them up and running is pretty time consuming in terms of obtaining mats, crafting mats, building subs, exploring and unlocking all the zones, etc.
The larger issue are people who, for lack of a better term, are part of consortiums who buy up multiple properties. Limit FC house ownership to 1 per SE account (not game account -- SE account) and it'll cut down on a lot.
I have 2 buddies who have like 6 houses on Dynamis and I believe Cactaur has someone who has bought up like an entire district. Those are the bigger issues when it comes to housing, as well as everyone wanting Large plots and not small/medium.
