Can someone remind me why these queers hate Xenosys? I don't have time in my day to pay attention to streamers and I thought this guy frequently spoke out against anti-alphabet bigotry. Was it just because he called a handful of people (including Kate Cwynar) bitches? Feel free to tell me fuck off instead of asking to be spoonfed, because I don't really care to find out that badly.
Because he's a toxic elitist meanie who says bad words.

Jokes aside, his pro-alphabet statements always felt a little performative to me, but not in an "I actually hate the gays" way, more in a "if I don't do the song and dance they'll crucify me and it's not worth the hassle" kind of way. Probably me just reading too much into it, but it wouldn't surprise me if that plays a bit into it.

Plus, you know, him refusing to throw LlamaTodd under the bus for being an evil transphobe. That too.

Interesting development in the content creator side - Xenos was banned today on stream for "abusive behavior". The really enlightening info was during Xenos questioning the GM. He was told that the behavior doesn't even have to just be in game. Merely displaying anything Square considers "FFXIV copyrighted material" on stream and then "Acting inappropriately" while that content is there, is also enough to be considered a breach of the TOS.

I hate to take FFXIV's side in anything but streamers don't have a divine right to exist in any game they want. If FFXIV (or any game) watches your stream and you're still breaking the TOS though a single layer of abstraction - then you're out.

If you think about it for a single moment - Playing FFXIV (one of the most coddled community games in existence) and then shit talking people on your public twitch stream while doing it is going to put you in the crosshairs. Every single thing FFXIV has done in the last ~10 years has been to coddle the player more and I have no idea why if my actual real job was streaming FFXIV I'd probably make a small note of that. You cannot get on a stream and call any Square employee or contractor (even if you don't like them) an "entitled fucking bitch" nor can you call another streamer a "retarded bitch" - even if they deserve it and it's funny - the actual product owners are not going to look the other way.

I want to also add that Xeems looks at mods for the game and uses them quite liberally while streaming. The consensus is that if you mod the game, you're supposed to do it privately and not say a word about it. Yoshi has said multiple times to not force him to go after people for openly breaking ToS like a retard and that if people were going to mod to not talk about it like a brainlet. I dunno how many times he has to say "if I don't know about it, I won't have to come after you" for people to finally get the fucking message.

As much as I like Xeems, he's is dumb fucking idiot for thinking nothing would happen. He has enough a-loggers that would jump at the chance to report him for any little thing and the GMs just need enough of a reason to yoink your ass midraid and pimpslap you with a ban, especially if you're streaming everything. I hope he realizes that he brought this on himself and doesn't try to throw a tantrum about it like a stupid cunt. As he always fucking says when people bring up cheating in high end content "everyone cheats and you're stupid if you get caught so don't get caught 4head". Well, his bald head got caught.

Side note, his recent take about PVP having a "cheating problem" is rich considering that he is completely fine with cheating in savages and ultimates. He doesn't have a leg to stand on if he wants to have a hot take about people cheating in PVP and act like he's standing on some moral highground about sportsmanship when you have people cheating their way through ultimate clears to dupe everyone into thinking they're good players when they are just fucking cheating to the point where having that clear and weapon doesn't fucking mean literally anything anymore.

I will point out, however, one individual who decided to respond to a callout with false bravado and providing fake self-dox of his character (which actually points to a viera player that he has some animosity towards for stated reasons I don't care to look into to verify) View attachment 9039721
His actual character happens to be Erke Armaron, and he's been taking the opportunity this day to be extremely annoying spamming View attachment 9039824 this gay little video everywhere.

Squeenix actually loosened their stance on streaming with mods somewhat recently, which is why he started streaming with visible mods a lot more (and lead to the Little Xeems incident). Paraphrasing, but he is supposedly testing if they actually stick to their statement on it, and for a while, it seemed to be true, since besides this ban, the only other ban I believe he's had is when he accidentally showed a dick mod on stream. And I don't think he even got an in game ban for it, only a twitch ban.

I'm too lazy to look up the lodestone post and the video(s) he made on it cause I haven't slept in over a day at this point, but I can grab it all later.

Some of the responses to some of these posts are a mixed bag. Some aren't really getting any engagement at all, some are continuing the joke, some are calling it out as deranged behavior. And some of the ones doing the calling-out are the gayest, libbest people I've seen, just glancing at their profiles. So really it is just all around a mixed bag.
That's because FFXIV twitter is functionally irrelevant. The playerbase for this game just isn't on social media. At best, they're on youtube.

Hell, the game isn't even on the radar on twitch despite being in the top 3 MMOs. XIV players just don't engage with the modern slopcial media sphere.

Yes. It's become acceptable to complain about Dawntrail, but mentioning the dangerhair or troon at all is still verboten.
