Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

My life is running a cat girl casino tavern club love motel in Lavender Beds, I can't afford to get good at a video game. I wish SE respected my time and my sub more.
I already pay into this game on the monthly + paid retainers, I should get more things for free with no effort because I pay money.

In retrospect, this probably sounds highly exaggerated and greatly generalized, but I promise you I saw exactly these complaints out of an old FC I was an officer in once.

An 1 player "mage tower" would be much better. The only autistic person to deal with is myself.
The salt would be hilarious. To combat runs being bought I would even make it so progress has to be made incrementally. So either you do it yourself, or it becomes a two month long commitment between two people

Alright who has ultra autism here and does choco breeding, I got quite a few pedigree 2 with 6 4 Star and I need to know who's dying or if I am potentially going to raise two and make them inbreed.

I've been watching guides but I've really not found anything that explains this shit well. It's always just, use the most stars the end.

I want my roided deformed chad racing chicken.

As far as I am aware the chocobo more or less comes out having a set of stats derived from the mother or the father. Which of the two sets it inherits is random so you want to breed as high of stats as you can and just keep having those chocos getting to fuckin'. The higher the chocobo's grade (basically how many generation) the better they can potentially get.

It's a shitload of RNG and even better each adult 'bo has only 10 charges for mating so if you get really screwed Geneticus Monstrosimus/Monstrosima will run out of juice.
Is it worth doing? Nah not really.

Get a Grade 9 bird and leveling it while training it to maximize its stats will probably give you a solid 'bo which can win most of the single player challenges. Its so much nested RNG that I wouldn't suggest stressing on it.

I can already tell you how that's gonna go:
Several people both in-game and probably in the official forums are going to bitch up a storm about gatekeeping and how it's bullshit to lock "content" behind challenge walls like this because some of them have this thing called a "life" and they can't play the game 24/7 like some kind of tryhard to "get good" and the devs should be more respectful of their time, etc. etc.
I remember way back in the day, back before I was a degenerate, and was simply a nerd, I said that kind of behavior was unacceptable, because if you cared, you'd make time. I remember being told that I'd understand when I grew up and had a life.

And now, I'm older, have a job with long hours, and find myself missing out on a lot of GAS content, because of this FOMO bullshit.

Good.

I don't make the time, I don't get the loot. I still like running around and seeing people with their glowing elemental armor, or with their (totally not paid for) ultimate weapons, and thinking how cool that shit looks, and good for them. I don't deserve it. I'm chipping away at Eureka to get my Elemental armor, because that's 'important' to me.

TL;DR, 'I have a life, I can't play the game, so give me shiny shit that I can show off in the game.' was a fucking retarded take when I had no life, and it's a retarded take now that I have one.

All my friends doing Ultimate prog, I can't sacrifice the time or effort, I won't have the weapon and that's fine. Not all content is for everyone, gamers in general are just selfish and lazy.

I want to say that I like there being content that's hard, gatekeeping, and that people should just accept and be comfortable with that they'll never do - I sure ain't using the charm and hitting the bell in sekiro, say. However, that's just not true in MMOs anymore because of RMT. You can buy everything. And people fucking do.

For those unawares, Classic World of Warcraft? Y'know, the one that hearkens back to the old days of "look at all the raiders and their cool shit (that gives them real advantages), it's cool to see some people with it". Well, it turned out it was actually pretty easy to get that stuff - cool, right? More people can get it - oh wait, lol, people are literally spending hundreds of dollars (if not more) PER WEEK to level up a character of every class, to run GDKPs and actually buy out an item (absurd inflation necessitates buying gold), buying clears from other guilds just for the sake of it... Given the chance, people will play the game as little as possible if it makes them "feel" like they're a winner -- and there's no price too high to do it. People really will pay enormous sums to have someone else run them through a mage tower thing.

Finally cleared P4S in PF last night. Honestly I really like the fight but glad to have a clear at last.

Also, what is it with some people just not reading? We had a kill party up on PF, get a Paladin who needed rescuing twice before he wiped the party because he had no clue what he was doing and ended up in the complete wrong space during orbs.

The guy was a first-timer in P4S.

I know people always try to be nice in this game but pretty much everyone was pissed and kicked the guy since it'd probably take him a few hours to prog up to where we were (and that's if he's good too).

There was a white mage main egirl (lol) that I had the misfortune of playing with for a while before she got all cozy with the "pro raiders" and dumped our group, and within the next week of e-dating a Perfect Legend btw she mysteriously had an Ultimate weapon and a TEA clear on DRK. So not only do people RMT for shit like clears for the shiny weapon of the year, they also literally fuck for it. At least paying is a little less gross.

Congrats! I hear P4S is super fun once you learn how to do it right. I just cleared P1S myself, only took an afternoon to learn but I'm still proud of it! I am a little more patient than most because I am also a shitter noob but it fucks me up that you can be in any type of instance and someone else explains to a shitter what to do and then they proceed to trap the party for 3 hours because they just don't take the time to read it or watch a guide or whatever.

There should be Timecop-esque consequences for directly interacting with your reflections

I've long opined that every WF group with a woman in it has probably traded sex for day one crafted pentamelded gear at least once.

But hey, fucking for stuff is a time-honored tradition in MMOs:

MMO players inexplicably have sex with each other for free, so getting something out of it is at least a tad more respectable than the baseline for this community.

I do know that there's a semi-public blist of everyone who's bought a clear that the pro raiders trade around in FF14 so there's at least some incentive not to buy your clears.

Cheers.

I actually think P4S might be my favourite fight in the game so far.

The fight has a lot of mechanics with random aspects that you need to remember in order to resolve the mechanic, and there's a lot of places where you need to think yourself and not just follow the group.

There's still mechanics where it's like "if one person fucks up we die", but being on a shorter door boss means restarts don't make you lose as much progress.

Second phase is honestly really cool. The way tethers are used in this fight is super creative. You've basically got tethers that will trigger mechanics when broken, forcing you to break tethers in certain ways. Fire tethers in Act will trigger 3-person stacks for example. So if you break that tether alone, then you'll die.
