does japanese even have pronouns? from my surface knowledge and what I see from MTL, it wouldn't work to begin with, or would be more complicated than a retarded "xir/xer".
More like on the localizing side. Japanese doesn't have gender terms that work like America. Most expressions where the speaker refers to themselves isn't based on gender, but more like...just a preference for speech/dialect. For example, you have
Watashi, which is used by both men and women and is largely a neutral way of expression and the most common one afaik. You have
Atashi which is used by women, specifically women who want to refer to themselves in a more feminine way. Mostly used by very cutesy girls but it's not exclusive to them. Even tomboys can refer to themselves as Atashi. Then you have
Boku which is mostly used by boys, specifically younger boys and also girls who are considered more masculine, basically tomboys use Boku as well. After that is
Ore, which is a masculine way to refer to yourself. Just like Atashi is used mostly by women, Ore is basically the male counterpart. But I should stress that this isn't exclusive to men. Women can use it too, it's just a much smaller percentage of them actually do. Then there is
Watakushi, which is basically like a super proper and posh way to refer to yourself. Mostly used by people in nobility or in positions of power. It's mostly seen as like an old timey word though like ye olde english. You also have
Oira which is an alternate form of Ore, used mostly by country bumpkins.
Those are just the ones I know off the top of my head but there are tons more terms that are separated by dialect alone for varying different ways people want to express themselves in their speech.
I'll use an example of a character from an anime. Dororo is a little girl who refers to herself as "Oira" every time she speaks. In the latest iteration of the anime, there's never any speculation of her gender. People just assume that she's a boy because of the way she refers to herself but she never expressly says that she's a boy. People in the show just sort of find out that she isn't. Despite knowing that she's a girl, she still refers to herself as "Oira" when she talks. In the west, people just assume that she's living the life of a boy willingly when she never states that she does. They think because she refers to herself in a masculine way that it makes her a boy when it doesn't. Because she behaves boyishly that it makes her a boy. In the retarded west, you have people claiming that she's "trans" when in the show, nothing of the sort ever implies that she wanted to be a boy. She just never makes her gender a big deal and even after people find out, in the show in japanese, she's just a girl who talks in a masculine way. You know...A TOMBOY. That's just how she talks and that's it.
Post vagina and tits pics or you aren’t a woman
Nice try, but I'm only mildly retarded, thank you.
