Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

Hey boys, I am back to rant for a moment.
Ala my last post ITT i was looking to get back into raiding instead of just doin' good old fashioned crime, and I regret my decision. Every static I have joined I just left after a few sessions, because of mandatory LGBT+ fucking allegiance pledges.
Not literal pledges, but they bombard you with it and openly say it's mandatory to accept, and even indulge in it and I just absolutely will NOT they cant contain it even for a weekly reclear group! I hate it! I hate this! being in voice calls with these freaks even when trying to be nice gets under my skin.
NA is fucking pozzed beyond repair.

for this very reason i turned to just doing party finder lol. voice calling with any of those tranny faggots is the worst experience possible and they just smother you with their identity shit. it is constant walking on eggshells. you can't even advertise in any way that you're looking for non-LGBT statics in any spaces because you will just be banned. you can say something simple like "i don't mean this in a hateful way but i am looking for non-LGBT statics" you just get rammed up the ass with banhammer. the only time i had a decent static it fell apart because our raid lead ended up being a pedophile.

I do like my FC, never really talk about the LGBTQ-stuff in the FC-chat, although I heard that there was some drama in the FC over Hogwart's legacy when that came out. However, that was in the discord and I don't do ddiscord. But I was talking about how I changed the VA for DT without indicating why and the first things I got in FC chat was 'I hate Wuk Lamat's VA', 'Wuk Lamat's VA is not good', 'It sounds like a teenage boy' 'that makes sense, it is a man' 'it's a trannie'.

I am quite happy I don't play in NA

Statics in this game truly are cancer. There will always be a raidtranny, maybe several if your luck is shit, and on top of being annoying narc faggots they’re usually also shit at the game.

Reminds me of a very special raidtranny story.

I raided with a group briefly that was partially made up of people from a single fc, and one of them was a tranny. Whatever, they didn’t make a huge deal about it at first and I actually wasn’t sure if it was even a tranny initially since the voice was pretty age/sex ambiguous. Of course that was until it told the rest of us completely unprompted, as a tranny does, specifically mentioning its penis.

Anyway several weeks into a late savage prog this tranny randomly started trying to convince one of the quiet guys that he was trans, on a reclear raid night, standing in the instance waiting for people to get back from afk. The guy was so stunned he didn’t even say anything, just said something in party chat like “no,” and then “please stop talking about this.” The tranny ignored him and kept going on about how “cute he’d be as a girl” and how cool it was to be a mtf tranny specifically and “maybe you’re actually a girl.” All in voice chat, so nobody could screenshot or report it, but also completely brazenly in front of the other six of us. Once our missing member announced she was back there was a long awkward silence, then we tried a couple more shitty pulls before disbanding for the evening. I don’t think any of the five of us that weren’t in the tranny’s fc wanted to be there after that.

The player peaced out of the static (as did I and one other, partially because they were a shit static for other reasons as well) and I’m pretty sure he unsubbed from the game altogether because I never saw him appear on my friends list again.

Because I’m sure someone will ask, his character was a short haired male hyur and he never shared socials, photos or anything about his real life, he was just there to raid and did zero interaction otherwise. He sounded like some average joe. He was just some recruited partyfinder normie and this nigger thought he was a prime candidate for egg cracking. Actually insane.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is exactly why the tranny population keeps going up. The stable normal people get subjected to horseshit like this while they’re trying to play a video game and make the smart decision to just leave instead. The rest of them get successfully groomed.

I'm extremely glad I play on EU. Never had any experiences with these troon-cult statics, my current static is just 7 dudes being dudes and 1 germ-man playing the game having fun (and sometimes tilting).

I feel incredibly lucky to be insulated from the troon nonsense with where I play.

There was one person who was filling in for a static and I made the mistake of saying 'dude' or 'man' or something and someone politely private messaged me that they identify as female and I was like 'ok, whatever.'

No freakouts, no witch hunt, nothing. The troon didn't "IT'S MA'AM" me or anything, so I feel I'm lucky to have encountered the least insane troon.

This was months ago while doing TEA. During current tier with these folks now, too.

Whenever these people fuck off and stop playing this game is probably when I will as well as I'll either eat a ban or just lose interest because tiptoeing around everything is stupid.

I haven't had to deal with any 'LGBT pledges' or anything like that, but I also don't go out seeking that sort of shit like that retard Grummz featured and stay away from it because it has little to zero interest for me. The people I've encountered, by and large, just generally want to play the game. The troons are either too busy fucking around on Reddit, the Novice Network or Discord or are flying under the radar.

All this tranny shit makes me want to ask; anyone know which server has the least amount of troon shit? Because it gets exhausting when you're trying to look at chat, and it's just getting spammed by constant advertisements for LGBQT+ groups and such.

All the NA servers are infested at this point.

Finally got the savage tier done today in PF. Unfortunately was unable to get the week 1 clear because PF couldn't do Sunrise Sabbath, that's definitely going to be the Caloric Theory 2 in reclears. Wasn't really my goal to clear the tier week one, my goal was M3, but I got so close that it was insanely tilting to be walled so hard by Sunrise because of retards. I would say that the raid tier is fun, but it's not hard. Reclears of M1-M3 were very easy. Adding M4 to that will probably be a significant wrinkle though. M2, M3 and M4 P2 have really good music too.

General experience with PF was decent, probably got stuck way too long on M1 and M3 for how much time I was putting in, but M2 was very smooth (No heart stacks), contrary to what others have said. If I do PF again next tier I hope to get a week 1 clear because I know I can do it, but alternatively I wouldn't mind getting a static for blind prog, since I did a little of that in M1 and it was pretty fun. Most of the problem with progging was actually getting a PF to fill at all hours, there seems to be nowhere near enough no-lifers on my DC to get prog in the early hours. You will also just run into problem players who are just bad, like the PCT and SGE in my M4 WK1 clear attempts who kept on pointing guns through the center and assassinating people, but it is just luck of the draw. If you can get past whatever the wall is quickly, you be more likely to get better players. I'd say M1 and M3 were the walls for this tier, M1 was pretty tricky for a 1st floor, and M3 has a pretty tight DPS check for PF to handle, plus you have to recognize and solve opposite mechanics (prox/KB, In/Out depending on if he glows) pretty quickly. I admit I trolled a lot this week using my anti-KB on Bombarian Special and then didn't have it for the dive after Tag Team 2.

I think M4 P1 is kinda boring at this point, but I might be biased because of my experience in that WK1 party, a lot of stupid mistakes happened. P2 makes up for it just with the transition though, Not being just a cutscene is really cool, and the music is peak. Mechs during are cool too, if a little easy until Sunrise. Lots of memory games, having to remember Chain Lightning and Aetherial Conversion after it is tough, but I guess you can just type it out. Only problem is other people type it out too and they type it different from how I do so it gets confusing.

All in all, I'm a little disappointed not getting week 1, but mostly I'm relieved. Now to learn it as other jobs and help some A2C sods.

P.S: Did the tier as AST/SCH and it was pretty fun, there were no Harrowing Hell-type heal checks, but there were some rough ones, especially player controlled ones like M2 Rotten Heart and M3 Fusefield with clueless DPS not checking the HP. M4 Sword Quiver is pretty sweaty right at the end of the fight too, but I guess this'll all get easier with gear.

Sadly the Term Filter only has 10 spots, but it helps with the yelling.

Lately I've been hanging out on Old Sharlayan, very peaceful doing my crafting there. It took me longer than usual, but I can already craft ilvl 710 reliably.

I don't raid so when I get to all classes 100 I'm going to clock out, maybe check the FF11 Alliance later.

FFXi raids will be neat for a while, I loved the shit out on XI and still play on private servers now and then even though i don't have the time to really dig into it anymore.

I'm mostly curious as to how the alliance raid will work. FF11 didn't have a ton of particularly iconic locations. We know the Shadowlord is involved, so we can assume Xarcabard and/or Castle Zvahl are a good bet. Beyond that, Tu'lia is probably a good choice for one of them. If they do Tu'lia they might as well do Lumoria. I honestly don't think they'll use anything past ToAU since they'll really want the nostalgia bait.

I'd be surprised if they don't use The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah.
When I played bard instruments (manually before everyone had plugins to do it for them lol) I got decent nostalgia reception from fans.
I expect them to use a lot of base areas, but i don't think they will do much past Wings of the Goddess since a lot of people joined for that one since it was the first xpac to come after the official english release if i recall. Kind of when I stopped playing because dancer kinda ruined the game for me because you subbed dancer for literally e v e r y job.
As for location I expect them to use Tavnazia, since it was the city that fell during the intro to the game plus that archway was kind of iconic at the time.

It's pretty hard to argue against it, to be fair. Dual Wield without all the mostly useless Ninjutsu, plus all of Dancer's other very useful abilities available at <49.

A bit off topic, but have you guys and gals found any other MMOs enjoyable? SB and the quality whiplash from HW was unpleasant enough that I dropped the game, and seeing the DT drama and writing has convinced me not to come back.

Final Fantasy XI holds up pretty well, even if the game is on maintenance mode. You can play all of the story content solo, and if you can find a couple other people to play with, most all of the other content.

Beware though that FFXI is a whole different generation of games. We are talking about an MMO released before WoW, so it took heavy inspiration from Everquest iirc. No quest markers, not even markers on top of an NPC's head to show you they have a quest. Items have to be picked up individually from the ground. You do not even start with your starting class' weapon equipped, you have to equip it first.

Every weapon has its own skill that has to be leveled by using it, parrying, dodging and attacking are also separate skills. Jewelry that gives you EXP buffs works like this: The rings have to be used from the inventory to grant you a buff that lasts for like 2 hours and you have to re-apply the buff every time you want to have it be active.

STILL, if you push through what would be considered clunky or even anti-player design by modern standards, there is a real gem of a game and story in FFXI. It has some funny moments too, a lot of adult humor as well. And of course the OST and general atmosphere make the game feel like a journey into the past, or Square Enix's past to be more precise. I still listen to some FFXIV 1.0 tracks that still have this old-time, cozy feeling to them. I recommend listening to "On Windy Meadows" to see what I mean.
