I’m tired of the community coddling Sena and Kate, especially with how the former gets special protection and treatment on reddit subs like ShitpostXIV while scathing criticism of other people who work on XIV is still fair game. I wouldn‘t be surprised if you could make scathing shitposts on that sub about women like for example Susan Calloway or Ishikawa that would get you slammed with a ban hammer if you tried that same shit on Sena and to a lesser extent Kate.

You'll probably still get in shit if you're too spicy and pull identity into it. But I've been able to say that Sena Bryer calling people racist for not liking Smile was retarded because she thought it was black gospel music. And people pretty regularly point out that Wuk Lamat is a bad character and the writing was dogshit.

I'm MATI that no modder's had the balls to try and bring the old face models back yet.
They changed what the different channels in the normal map do, too. Guess what, modders figured it out in less than a day and immediately (when they weren't ingame) started working on fixing it.
The ear mod I use suddenly had pitch-black ears, because the alpha channel is now how affected that part of the model is by lip color.

I'm late on the Dawntrail train but the story was ok. I played with JP voices like the massive weeb I am so I didn't really give a shit about whatever happened in EN. I did notice a huge difference between Wuk Lamat's vocal direction between EN and JP acting. For instance the scene where she had an Alpaca spit on her face she went "Ah...." in EN whereas in JP she was screaming in terror.

The fights in dungeons and trials are fun at least. It's nice seeing new mechanics for once.

Meanwhile, one of the Light DC Discords for BA has done a 7man challenge run before.

Swiftcast-flare on single-target to reset your flarestar dots if you fucked one up feels so fucking retarded, and HB2/HF2 being literally useless still annoys me, and my sub lapsed forever ago.

Perks of being a raiding DC, a lotta people just go to Light whenever they need to do anything more challenging than an extreme, or that requires any degree of co-ordination.

It does mean Chaos players have to use our strats though. You aren't gonna be able to do Papan P12S in Light usually.

Yeah, that's in part because of how retarded BLM's 50 rotation is, and why you should immediately drop every CT ding in roulettes on that class. If you got a firestarter F3 or had an opportunity to refresh thunder while you didn't have enough MP for an F1 but over the minimum, swift-flare would dump the pool that'd otherwise go wasted.

By contrast, if you clip a single F4 at cap due to movement, you either give up on a flarestar altogether or you make a note to replace the final F4 with a swift->flare. It's so much more rigid and clunky than the old BLM, it's hilarious that this was supposed to make it 'more accessible.'

That cannot be worn by Viera or Hrothgar.

Nor can the helmet from the mogstation set they'll be selling to accompany the event.

• The Main Tank is drunk (Fine, I've done high-end content while drunk)
• Some players didn't prepare by getting a Kirin's Osode/Vermillion Cloak for the job they're playing (That person was a Sage), meanwhile 2 players have an Osode and Optical Hat on
• People died at the second trash pack and they got revived for some reason (Massive red flag, most discords leave you on the ground)
• Some of the healers forgot to bring Refresh L
• No-one brought Bravery L
• Due to all of this and the Raid Leader wanting to fellate himself by explaning literally every mechanic orally and then also giving callouts, the fairy buff falls off before the start of Absolute Virtue
• Absolute Virtue is able to summon its second set of Wyverns before dying
• Aetherweaver Solo Healer on Demi-Ozma without Elemental Health Regen buff
• People die as a result of this and/or knockback, no healer LB3 is used to attempt to bring them back before Black Hole
• A Melee DPS dies to an autoattack and so gets sucked in at Black Hole 5
• 15% HP Enrage

Needless to say, I'm not going to run with the Students of Baldesion again. Thought I could get the mount on my alt.

BA isn't even that hard, there aren't any personal responsibility mechanics (That kill other players) beyond the Meteors on Ozma. You can just wing everything else with callouts from someone in discord or from Cactbot or literally just having a text guide open on your other monitor.

So for roughly 2 months she's been on lockdown, basically for the entirety of the newest expansion's release. Not a good look for the new Lead Localizer and Lore Consultant (also English VA caster), and for whom Dawntrail is the very first expansion she's in such a high-profile role.


Maybe I'm just crazy, but I think when you feel the need to completely lockdown your social media accounts right after you put out a new game (that had your own fingerprints all over it), something is probably very wrong.

I think it depends on the reason for the lockdown. Protected tweets doesn't mean nobody can see it. It just means it's only visible to those she allows. Ergo, she could easily just be locking it to make sure her chud death wishes don't make it out into public. I did wonder if it was corporate that initially told her to stop fucking around on social media, but since they didn't do the same to Sena ...
