To add to this, the only negative sounding tweet this retard received was someone expressing wishes they were fired from SE because of the VA strike.

You'd think that if they were actually getting death threats they'd be posting them front and center. Because they totally actually exist. Right?

If Yoshi-P really is a troon apologist/defender, that really spells bad news for this.

There's the whole sunken cost fallacy thing and I did enjoy a good chunk of stuff from this game, but with every passing month I'm given more and more reasons towards just dropping this game entirely and letting my sub lapse.

I'm of the same mindset. I loved FFXIV; it's the first MMO in a long time that really caught my full attention/obsession, and I was genuinely happy to play it as much as I could. I've got thousands of hours suck into this one, and I've had fun... well, maybe not every moment, but it's definitely been better than, say, WoW or GW2.

So, seeing Yoshi throwing all this away for troonery is just... idiotic. I mean, given the backlash there's been to troons all over the world, you'd think he'd read the elephant in the room and maybe keep the troon-loving to a minimum, but no. Instead, he fires a beloved vocalist because she disliked trannies and hires a tranny to voice the lead character for an expansion.

I was thinking about renewing my sub, had a character partially planned out and was wanting to get as much content done, but now? I think I might just drop the game, instead; unless DT's post-MSQ somehow manages to be the next Shadowbringers, or at least the following expansions manage to be great, then I think FFXIV is going to continue going downhill.

I'll check back when they drop 7.4 or similar. If they didn't course correct by then, then I'll happily drop the game permanently. 7.1 to 7.2 is probably locked in, so I won't be looking at those yet.

I like what FFXIV was, but yeah if this is the type of shit Yoshi-P is gonna do then I’m out. Troons are a cancer that should not exist. I will not be supporting anything with them in it. Fuck Yoshi-P and I hope FFXIV loses millions because he can’t stop sucking troon stinkditch.

asian todd howard is a puppet that SE dances around on strings, the last thing he did that was actually his idea was preventing free trial players from being able to use /tell

Speedrunning the MSQ with Questionable right now because I'm bored and got banned on my main again, Already past Post-SHB, probably going to finish 6.0 at the 4 day mark.

Wait a second, did they fire Susan over that tweet nothingburger? I didn't keep up with it all that well but from what I gathered in the thread last year she was just removed from the special guest list on some shitty FF14 gathering because of it. Did they really manage to bitch to upper management to get her axed from future projects on the game too?!

Yeah she’s not around anymore because the twitter Troon mafia threw a tantrum about her. Sucks too because her voice was absolutely beautiful. Now we get whatever the fuck that new singer for dawntrail is.

Nah, as I've mentioned earlier in the thread the main reason she isn't around anymore is because she's Nobuo Uematsu's favorite vocalist, which is why she sings all the songs he's worked on (Answers, Dragonsong, Revolutions). Once Soken took over composing the main theme for each expansion he went in a different direction and uses different vocalists.

She was booted from some FFXIV con to due angering the troons but she wasn't fired by SE over it.

Yeah this is what I understand the correct events that transpired are. Amanda has been doing the lead vocals for Soken's stuff since Shadowbringers, she did Tomorrow and Tomorrow, for example. The Susan stuff didn't happen til way later, if I recall correctly. It just came down to Soken wanting a different vocalist, and he liked Amanda. I'm surprised people think the swap is that recent, tbh.

Amanda Achen? Yes, she does nude modelling too, previously she did onlyfans porn under an alternate name, but seems to have deleted fucking everything (though I've seen leaks of it on other sites several months back). Her nudes are pretty easily findable still though. She's been trying to grift the MSQ reactions on Twitch ( https://www.twitch.tv/therealcrystalmommy ), but she's been stuck in HW all year because she (visibly) can't stand the game and couldn't even pretend hard enough to like it so the msq-andies pretty much all stopped watching and donating to her.

We took away their king. We took away their queen. Now I shall take from them what they value most: Their pro wrestling league.

Husband and I ran the Arcadion fights last night. Having Metem do little WWE-style commentary during the matches when stuff happened was a nice touch. M4 was pretty fun, mechanics were enjoyable enough and the theme music was hype. Wish the MSQ had been given as much attention to detail as the raid series was, maybe I wouldn't feel so miserable towards the game then.

The sheer quality difference between the Arcadion and the MSQ is astounding. Makes me wonder how echoes of vana’diel will be. If only I could re-sub. Oh well!
