Might be your DC. I've been able to get farm parties together for older EX stuff.

Granted, a lot of people join expecting a first time carry, ragequit after one wipe (and usually causing the wipe) on slightly more difficult farms (like Hades, note I use "slightly more difficult" quite sparingly), or they drop out after 1-2 runs.

People are just impatient and/or they do the weird thing of only dedicating enough game time for 1-2 runs of a thing. Like, a quick "I'ma do 1-2 runs of this before going to bed/going to work".

EDIT: You can also three-man Susano EX unsynched. Even two-man it if one of you can survive the sword button mash.

Well, it is a very specific thing with essentially zero reward. If you know anything about raiders it's that they have no investment in doing bosses for its own sake, they just want something shiny to hold over others, they want the chance to be seen as having done something difficult others can't for the prestige. This is why they constantly ask for more hard stuff to do but always cheat when completing it, they don't actually like tackling hard bosses, they like that they get to say they did.
I imagine the pool of people that want to run a non-current boss with basically no bragging rights or shiny stick attached, for its own sake, on your server, looking at PF, at that specific hour... is approaching zero. Not to mention the fact that most people don't even know PF exists and therefore never check it.

On Aether at least there are a lot of MINE PFs for older content.

There are a ton of people who do enjoy doing difficult content who don't really fall under what you're describing. A friend's static had to drum someone out because they couldn't function w/o plugins, so every patch meant they were dead weight.

This is your fault for not saying you want to unsync it. There's no real reason to do old high-end content synced (EDIT: OTHER THAN BLUE MAGE RUNS BUT THAT'S BLUE MAGE SHIT) because people only want to do it for the chance of the mount drop, which is still there if it's run unsynced.

make your own one, or look for small FCs, if it's larger it's guaranteed to either be full of gay drama or not even feel like a community

I've had my experience running an FC during HW. It's either you get no one to join or you become in charge of resolving people's gay drama. Both are not worth it.

You don't have to be in an FC.
Technically, yes. I have been in this small Russian FC full of people with families and it's been pretty comfy. But they stopped playing now and I have to find new people to play with.

I'm basically chasing this phantom of the fun I used to have playing this game.

That sounded really nice.
I'm currently in a small FC (12 people) with a norse rune as its name, it's nice to have a few people to talk to even if I'm never going to run high-end content with them again (4 EX1 runs in 2 hours...)

My FC is more or less dead too and the only reason I stick around is I became defacto leader and we have a large housing plot, plus I get to set whatever buffs I want. I got some family to play the game and they finally moved over to my server so they joined the FC.

Personally im okay with "cheats" that serve more as a quality of life, like the eureka one. Im not okay with the ones that let you trivialize a trial/dungeon/raid.

So idk if its a controversial opinion but faggots that cant press 1-2-3 and need a plugin to do so are massive faggots. If you need a plugin to evade a boss attack, you are also a massive faggot. If you cant adequately press the buttons for the abilities of your class then change control schemes or apply macros. If youre too much of a retard that needs to rely on cheats to win, youre beneath the tranny faggots that infest the game.
Completely agree. I use plugins, but only QoL ones and the occasional silly one like seeing dark souls style messages left everywhere. The only ones I use that are actually "assisting" me in any content are a combo timer that lets me know how long I can fuck around before having to continue my combo, and a wee little pixelperfect dot to more easily position myself in tight dodges for uptime (and I don't even have that for raid days after patches anyways). I don't much see the point in using something that solves mechanics for you, I want the sense of accomplishment from finishing something myself. Hence why I'm currently balls deep in Aloalo Savage to get glowy weapons you almost never see in the wild.

Finally cleared Emerald Weapon's extreme.

Every fucking braindead fucking party we ran it with couldn't grasp the orb phase. It's not that fucking hard. Pair up. Cardinal directions. Etc.

Glad I got the mount drop from it because trying to herd retards into following that mechanic was the opposite of fun. Rest of the actual fight was piss easy.

Makes it even more inexcusable that a full party of allegedly competent players were so fucking shitty at it. Husband and I could have probably saved ourselves a lot of grief by just duoing it as tanks.
I'm the resident addonfag and didn't need anything to clear it back in 6.4.

Emerald is a fun fight and I'm looking forward to it in (At this rate, most likely) 8.1 or 8.2 (Depending on if Tsukuyomi is in 7.5 or not)

As of this morning, I have officially exhausted all the Crystarium deliveries and am currently working the final Studium deliveries. All that's left now are Wachumeqimeqi deliveries
Are those deliveries good for exp? I tried the juice stall in DT and was massively disappointed when the first quest didn't give me enough exp for a level up

They are in fact good for EXP. So what if it doesn't hand an entire level to you on a silver platter, it's still the best source of EXP outside of Custom Deliveries and it's faster than just repeatedly mining nodes.

They're absolutely phenomenal when you also add the GC turn-ins, levequests, and Custom Deliveries. Don't rely on the actual story quest, it's the hand-ins that have the real value

I was seeing minimum ilevel synched PFs for older content that had people jumping into them on Aether back when I was more actively playing before this patch, but I guess YMMV.

Granted it was more for Coils. People have a hard on for "first time min ilevel synched" runs of Coil.

1: that's coils
2: i'm assuming the susano party was synced but *not* MINE, meaning it alienated hardcore masochists and mount hunters alike
Willing to DC travel from Crystal
3: I'm assuming WGA hasn't DC travelled yet (Quote is 6 weeks ago), so this is Aether (The Raiding DC) vs Crystal

Anyway speaking of Coils, i'm thinking about crashing the market for ADS Illuminant and ADS Plating by using the inventory stuffing exploit

It was MOSTLY Coil. There have been some Extremes that get put up for min unsynched as well that also fill up.

And even then, that doesn't address my other point about not understanding why people usually want first time "minimum unsynched" runs of Coil. I mean, I can see why the interest would be there for some people, but I'm not sure why most people seem to want that as their first time run of Coil.
