i remembered to take a screenshot of it this time, here's an example

Why?
If people don't want to see those words, why would you go out of your way to do this? For advertising venues and stuff like that, sure an argument can be made. But for hunt trains?
Oh my God, this makes me so MATI. I hate the people who play this game so goddamn much. All of them deserve a bullet for wanting to be dickheaded inconveniences to everyone around them.

Where's my fucking top hat? I need to put that shit on.

Also, I am livid that my term filter won't allow me to filter "Meowdy" from party chat. What's the POINT of term filter if it has restrictions on what chats get filtered?

Yeah, no, I agree, that's why I said it should be a bannable offense because if the faggot devs are going to institute a word filter at all, then circumventing it in order to push the bullshit that the word filter was created for should be reasonably considered a form of harassment.

Of course, that's rule lawyering on a technicality, but I'm not talking fringe cases where someone gets around, say, the language filter between factions (a la WoW) in order to insult people, or dancing around it in other to insult each other (like using letter substitutions to call people "faggots" and "niggers"). I'm talking cases like this specific faggotry where the people are being as obnoxious as possible with their advertising and self-fellating.

But for hunt trains?
this was for a fucking S rank, not a train
i don't understand the dogmatic obsession that certain people have for "thanking the spawner", turning it into a fucking macro THAT CAN'T BE REGEX'D OUT just makes it ring even more hollow.

At this point there should be an option to just not have chat box in the UI
There already is, and half of the TFDF incidents i've had happened because a nigger didn't have it open. Like that Level 51 Archer.

I'd love to see how they would even manage to add a feature like this. I hope they know how toxic their community can be, because the first thing you'll hear in Limsa would be racial slurs and earrape spam to scare away the ERPers.

Currently sitting at 59 Demimateria II after 15 runs, i think. Does anyone have a rough guess on what the drop rate of the Dais, minion, and Hairstyle are from COD?
I don't have exact stats but from what I can gather from drop rates for almost every mount or other rare item in the game, I would say the actual drop rate is probably around the same as a current extreme mount drop.
Someone who has a better grasp on numbers and stuff can correct me on that though.

Almost done leveling AST and im considering leveling Pulgilist/Monk. Any recommendations?

I should go ask Infi. I bet that Tracky's also collating information on mount drop rates too, if anyone has accurate information on the droprates of things it'd be them. (On that note, I'm curious about the droprates of the hairstyle from Delubrum, the rare mounts from DR and DAL, the rare barding from DR, if anyone has concrete numbers on the low droprate of the otherwise Duel-only field notes in Bozja, the droprate of additional Cryptic Seals in BA, etc...)

The Shroud feels like it has the droprate of a current EX mount, certainly.

I'd rather shoot myself in the head than relive farming Bozja for notes.
I have the barding from DR as well as the mount but let me tell you, I ran the thing so many goddamn times for the weapons and the hair and I saw 2 mounts and 2 bardings before the hair dropped. Mind you, I had already finished all my weapons too, a total of like 10 of the fuckers. Once the hair dropped, I never went into DR again and never want to.
I mostly got lucky with the notes but I heard horror stories of people running the dungeons over and over again because for the 2nd dungeon, there were 2 notes that could randomly drop.
I tried farming for the raptor mount in Dal, but after running it 150+ times and not seeing the mount, I gave up.

Nothing short of paying me 20 million dollars could ever convince me to go back to that fucking hellhole. I can't fathom why anyone likes Bozja. I fucking hated it with every fibre of my being.

I'm doing a bit more MSQ and got to the Shaaloani part.

I again submit that everyone in Tural is a fucking retard.

"Golly gee, the Not-Buffalo are avoiding their usual grazing areas. WHAT COULD IT BE?"

(If you didn't say 'predators' or 'poachers' as soon as you read this, congrats! You're probably right off the reservation boat from Tural!)

Then we get introduced to the not-Indian catgirl tribe who are very clearly based off of Plains Indians (and yet no mention of traditional hunting habits like driving them off of cliffs), learn that they use dung to flavor their food and realise that, gosh, the Not-Buffalo are so sacred and important. Like, their entire culture revolves around it. That Koana (and the rest of the Tural idiots) don't know such basic knowledge of something that you'd more than likely pick up via osmosis (eg, I've never been to Idaho, but I know that potatoes are a thing. Same thing with Ireland, etc) that it just beggars belief.

Insert my prior complaints about how a ridiculously simple engineering approach would work to protect the Not-Buffalo from the train.

Then, gasp, we get the reveal that it is indeed a predator of some kind that is driving the Not-Buffalo away and, more importantly, the not-Indians fucking know what it is and were able to name it almost instantaneously....despite everyone being mystified as to what could POSSIBLY be doing this.

Okay, tapping out again.

I figure I'll be done 6.1 by 2026 at this rate.

When you think about it, it's amazing how we never got this sort of slop even in ARR. Sure, the MSQ is stilted and dry as fuck but you can almost see the worldbuilding love put into it.

Did I ever mention that I actually fell asleep many times trying to actually finish the DT MSQ. I read MOST, until I just skipped by Shaaloani part and afterwards. I couldn't be arsed after the coronation event specially and just Skipped every CS that unlocked the current content.
Until Krile story, then resumed to skipping

Yeah, it's insane how incompetent all of these characters are being depicted as, whereas in ARR at least you knew the characters were skilled/competent/knowledgeable/etc.
