These guys will most likely recover from this somewhat quickly if they don't DMCA anyone and keep prodding tweens to look at internet videos. Their videos are built to reach a wide demographic, many of which probably have no idea this is even going on. It was fun to see someone make a video explaining how they'll fuck you with a smile on their faces then shitting themselves from the fallout but I think this peaked a few days ago.

It'll end when their faces start getting shooped onto all new /pol/ memes

Powerlevel: Survived cancer, lost a dozen wonderful family members to it, briefly knew a ten year old girl in my cancer ward who would cry every night for weeks that she just wanted to go home. She died while I was in a coma. I can't remember her name because the chemotherapy destroyed most of my in-hospital memories. Shut up, don't rate this feels, you spergs. Just stop calling things cancer as a funny meme. You look like dorks.

On topic, Fine Bros. fucked up. They had a good thing going and I enjoyed the genuine nature of the React series.
PTSD thread is that way.

People have been saying "that shit's cancer" since before the internet. If something that has been around for decades triggers you, perhaps you may want to find another forum. Something preferably for the under tens.

You know what's funny? For better or for worse, I bet they could actually gain back a small number of subscribers and (maybe) a small amount of respect without too much effort. All they'd have to do is make a "X reacts to react world" (as I've seen oft suggested as a joke) in a self-deprecating way.

They could get people on their show who would negatively react to and criticize the idea of react world as a way of showing both some humor and some humility. Hell, if they were feeling self-deprecating enough, they could even "react to" their own idea and talk about how dumb it was, and how dumb they were.

This certainly would not bring back everyone, and many people wouldn't be ready to forgive them (for good reason), but it would be a nice, perhaps even amusing acknowledgement of their own failure. It would be something better than the "we're sorry we got caught" they posted.

The funniest part, however, is that their egos probably won't ever allow this. The Fine Bros would rather watch the pillar of subscribers that support them burn to the ground than admit they were wrong. They'll just keep marching forward, pretending nothing ever happened as their world falls out from underneath them.

God I love it when people forsake their only opportunities at salvation to protect and coddle their own ego. There's something immensely satisfying about it to me.

Jim Sterling took a dig at them

Honestly, almost I think this thread would be better in community watch as it seems to be more about how the community is reacting to these people. Although, the people reacting to them are not necessarily lolcows in of themselves. Although, how these douchebags react to all this will be a test of how much of a pair of lolcows they are.

The count as of this post is 13,678,988

"We have decided to do the following:

3. Release all past Content ID claims."

Except they aren't doing that, and possibly never will.
Case in point: This guy lost 15 videos to Fagin and DerpyHooves the Fishmonster.

In fact, I wouldn't be amazed if they started issuing MOAR takedown and Content ID Flags.

"The concerns people have about React World are understandable, and that people see a link between that and our past video takedowns, but those were mistakes from an earlier time. It makes perfect sense for people to distrust our motives here, but we are confident that our actions will speak louder than these words moving forward."

The cognitive dissonance and reality disconnect here is incomprehensible. Their actions and their rhetoric are 180 degrees out of phase. Good lord, this is what it would be like if Brett Keane and JDubs had money, lawyers, a PR firm and even more brain damage.

Mothefuckers aren't getting away with this. I'm gonna DMCA them out of existence
If that is only way to stop them making money, then I say DO IT.
Because, financially, they are starting to recover. I don't know where the fuck that money is coming from, but if the Fine Bros were to have 0 Videos, they wouldn't be able to monetize any of them.

How do I follow the money.jpg

EDIT: The legal dataforce has doubled from 1 lawyer to 2. Which is good, I guess.

@LordCustos3 You ask "Where did the money come from?". Like many said on YouTube, is most likely the FineBros head, FullScreen INC, to cover their losses. Heres the website if youre interested: Www.fullscreen.com

I should tell you that it seems the idea of "React World" isnt purely Fine Bros idea. It was mostly on the Parent Fullscreen Company direction and the company persuades Fine Bros to release said World in exchange of, well, bigger revenue.

In other words, yes, you may can blame Fine Bros for all of this. But dont forget to also blame more to its parent company.

Disappointed in Fine Bros, et al. for their public handling of the whole deal. React was generally fun and unscripted, had interesting old people, and managed a few heartwarming moments.

Here's hoping Hot Pepper Gaming tries to gain control of the world's capsaicin supply by eating it all on camera.
