With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Most of the interactive options involve spending money and people are barely sending in donations compared to the amount of people who were sending in TTS messages. They never even got to the point where they activated the other interactive elements and people can sway vote results for challenges by spending money. Their entire monetization for this relies on their website. If it stays on YouTube only it would only generously make 10% of what it would make with their website. Plus more people would subscribe, they only managed to get subscriptions for three days out of the six weeks.

Most of the people on here are terminally online freaks. Just look at Josie's socials and Letty leaks. Vance is fully aware of MDE's works and most likely browses 4chan. Simmons seemed too into the crossdressing bit. I don't think they're being told to lean into anything besides they themselves feel the need to play stuff up for the audience. If they were being coached then you might see Mauro and Hog actually do something of note for once.

Here, I reduced the resolution and converted it to .mp4 to directly post it on the forum instead of linking a tweet to click more links for a download smh. I'm not gonna do the 300mb video because mkv conversion kills my phone battery.

They are definitely being encouraged to keep it up if not outright told to do so. There's several absolute specimens (if Jon is acting, he's the best goddamn method actor I've ever seen to keep it up full time on camera), but I'm sure they are getting positive reinforcement whenever they are pulled aside for keeping it weird. The Hog has had a few moments herself, she's certainly more memorable than Maruo who is just kind of there. He's definitely the weak link.
I'd say that Sam gaslighting Jon into thinking Tate was actually tweeting at him is a form of coaching, whether it was outright stated or not. They definitely want to keep shit entertaining, just like how they bring out noisy toys for Josie to fuck around with.
 
Does anyone know if they ever actually did Goldstriker's laundry? I imagine there would be some Fishbucks in it for whoever took responsibility.
