With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I hate Freddy but understand why he moved out of that room. Her mental illness is just strewn over every square inch of flooring. Pick up after yourself you fat fucking slob. You're not participating in any challenges, you have literally nothing else to do.

They made Rachel dress up in an airforce pilot uniform to film a scene and forced the other fish to salute her. The TTS started shouting "TOP GUNT" at her repeatedly. She then floundered and couldnt larp as a pilot and give a speech to her forces.

offtopic also an earlier post of mine got edited by a moderator and I have no clue why but maybe I didnt scale the image far enough down so that it wasnt as wide? I have no idea. Please help me or pm me or link me a formatting thing I dont wanna mess it up

I think the rummaging is more related to some kind of OCD behavior, akin to actions like "Damn did I leave the oven on? Better go check it" or "Where is that iPod charger I had back in the day? Did I lose it? I need to look for it".

But in her case I imagine that type of behavior is directed towards the thousandS of dollars of medical paraphernalia she brought, like the CPAP machine. Imagine packing STERILE bandages to FISHTANK. That would make me paranoid as hell.

Neither of them have the discipline, attention span, or whatever they are lacking to commit to the bits for long enough either. They get a little discouraged and just say "fuck it, its the audience's fault". I get that it is due to the artist's mindset, but they are both seasoned enough at this point they should realize it and learn to work with it.

Not to go on too much of a tangent, but this is the same mindset that is going to ruin Extreme Peace. Its apparent to anyone who has seen the premiere that the first episode was leaps and bounds better than the second. They can't even keep it together for two 30 minute episodes. It was mentioned in Sam's thread, but its clear a large production studio, while neutering some of the humor and being terrible to work with, kept it on the rails.

I genuinely want both Jet and Sam to do great work. They both put a lot of effort into the work they care about, but they need to be better at rolling with the punches as well as seeing an idea through, even if it fails.
 
Thank fuck for this thread, this season is so condensed and content rich. I go to bed then go to work and the fish declare Total Rachel Death, Jin goes on a panty raid, and the dog house changes hands like 2 or 3 times.

It's crazy how Sam wants to be an internet dad but falls into the same pitfalls incels do, the slightest pushback and it's the world's fault
