It sucks that I can't watch my autism anime but I really like the fact that Sam and jet got their own site and infra to host this shit.
Anything that can in some way take away from the current platform monopoly.

You can't do anything fully outside the norms on the current platforms. The guidelines kill potential.
Having your own site is the only way to really have freedom on the Internet to explore whatever creative potentials you feel like. So yeah I'm glad fishtank is it's own thing instead of 10 different twitch streams linked up by some third party API or whatever.

God I sound like stallman
 
Why are people acting like it's pay per view? You could literally watch FOR FREE, on a platform they made by themselves, with 10 separate camera streams at once, it's a technical marvel. The entire point was that they couldn't be shoah'd by a third party platform. Unfortunately it didn't go entirely according to plan, but with how groundbreaking everything else about Fishtank has been, that's no surprise. Just don't be an impatient retard, the Jontent and Josiecelling will flow in due time

They censor TTS to keep the heat consistent on the fish; however you need much more than that to stay up on Youtube.

They will get banned for bullying ethnic groups after just letty mentions something like Goldberg being a jewish sounding name again.
They will get banned for the tranny skit theyre going to do tomorrow.
They will get banned for bullying when a TTS slips through calling Sylvia a hog.
They will get banned when someone sends a TTS making fun of Sylvia's onlyfans.
They will get banned for bullying when someone uses W's instead of R's in TTS.
They will get banned for encouraging violence when someone tells Damniel to kill someone.

There would be a Youtube Tranny Janny assigned to each of the 10 streams, and they'd catch the first instance of a heckin' racism/bullying and terminate all of Sam's channels at once. I'd wager it would be up for less than a day.

@Null, reach out to them and help them host the next season. Charge them what you need to run a decent profit, charge them an arm and a leg
and suggest a special quest/game/... where the winner has to get a kiwifarms tatoo or else they will forfeit their win.

Sadly people like that tend to have money, and don't usually need to fuck about for 6 weeks in a psychward for a 1/8 chance of winning a few thousand dollars. Bummer.

We've known since before this thread was started that the website was streaming all the video feeds regardless of which you were looking at, using 10 times as much bandwidth as they needed to, which works out with using 30 days worth of bandwidth in 3 days. That's half the reason people were using mpv to watch it.

I don't agree with the schizopost, but the only thing I know about that Sam Hyde and Marky stuff that seems to be actually researched to some extent (and isn't just screaming pedo) is that video that Soph/LtCorbis made a few months ago that goes into it in some sort of detail.

Again, dunno' if it's any better than the schizopost.

I mean... they've been hosting it through GCP (Google Cloud Platform) this entire time and there hasn't been any TOS issues yet. Sam and Nick have been streaming on youtube for 4 months and haven't been banned. I don't think they've even had a channel strike. They were #2 in super chats site wide the other day, so I would expect Google to be slightly more hesitant to ban them than before.
