Fishtank has to be viewed in a different light to be entertaining now. It should be seen as a torture house for slightly strange individuals. Going forward, the sharks will drive content by making the fish's lives worse and worse. We can't realistically rely on tard rage 24/7 and frankly it's a miracle that we were able to for as long as we did.
I think this was the intention of the show to begin with, to bring in some kinda low class weirdos who you can fuck with and are willing to debase themselves for a shot at some money. Not to have a house full of retards and specifically from the outset to not have any creepy actual or potential sex offenders.

Simmons definitely was an unexpected wrench in the works, same with Mauro leaving. Jon, while he had some iconic moments was getting in the way of the idea of a hell house because he either fell for a bit in the worst way (like with Nick Caminos) or took everything super personally like the disability challenge.

Well, see you guys in season 2.

Ok, I slightly jest, I've definitely been less engaged, but with out Jon I'm significantly less engaged. He probably wanted out, and made some deal to finally have an elimination. However, with all the mistakes they've made so far, maybe they really did decided to eliminate him for some reason.

Josie is the next more enjoyable Fish, but she's boring if you aren't sexualizing her. Her mannerisms are idly entertaining, but they don't drive any content. Lettie is evil which can be entertaining if there was someone I liked, Vance is a faggot, again having an antagonist works if there are any protagonists, Damiel is a plant that adds nothing, knowing he's a plant prevents any investment in him, Sylvia is boring dead weight(lol fat). Jon was the only competition for Josie in terms fandom, unless she burns out it'll be 4 weeks, WEEKS, of waiting for them to cut it down to Josie and Vance, and play it up as much as possible that Vance is in the lead before they decide to give the fans what they want or spit in their face.

6 weeks is TOO LONG. Especially with 8 contestants. Its hard to keep a fanbase engaged that long, they have NO buffer for people bailing early, it minimizes the abuse they can put them through. It should be 2-4 weeks, allows things to be much more intense and contestants more willing to power through it for the reward.

Opinion that will make the /tv/ refugees angery: Jon should have been out after the drinking incident.
They already lost a lot of viewers due to Simmons and the movie night cutting out downstairs cams leaving us all relying on the hallway and B1 to hear in on things, but then his drunk retard act down there and subsequent meltdown upstairs caused them to cut ALL cams and lose a ton of viewers, something they just barely climbed back from via the drunk karaoke. That right there should have been an immediate red flag signaling a liability.
The wall kicking the high jumping the Bible reading through a full volume karaoke machine, the speech impediment the love of tate and boxing the random pushups the tawl tales. He was worth it and the show was made better with him on it and is worse now without him. Jon is the man I genuinely really like him and wish him a wonderful life.

don fowget to fowlow him on insagwam @ biznusjacktwennytwennytow

Jon might not have been this tilted if the challenges were a bit better and not just "be a retard lol", but planning and foresight isn't Sam's strong suit. He either shouldn't have started coddling them or just drop the hellhouse act and let them be idiots on their own with the challenges being there to give them privileges like pizza n booze. With the latter way the drama would've come naturally from someone fucking up and being the groups asshole for the day. And if a challenges doesn't engage a contestant just don't fucking start moralizing about them not putting in enough effort you faggot. Well let's see if Goldstriker will turn into Shithitter or if he can manage to save this show from becoming the least entertaining version it could be.

She's not dusting, she's mopping. No one ever taught her how to clean.
Part of the reason I feel bad for her is she was never taught a lot of basic things and she's admitted to feeling awkward because she lacks basic skills.

I know "chili bed" was a good joke, but I still can't understand how with all the beds in the house she never thought of swapping mattresses or beds and instead slept there.

Bedroom 1, Vance finds his room upturned. "Who the fuck was going through my shit? Who the fuck was going through my wallet?" Jon's parting gift. "I need to rinse off and collect myself, and we will speak on all matters that occurred today." He leaves.

I know I am late to post this but editing the mkvs that the archives give you is a pain in the ass for me. To me this is the perfect summation of the good parts of Jon, a very tender moment followed by a big laugh.

I'm not going to make any claims about if the shows quality will deteriorate at this point without Jon, as we have yet to see what happens in the long term. Jon most likely asked the producers to leave on his own. I do, however, feel like a lot of this could have been avoided based on better planning by the producers. They seem to have constantly bounced back and forth between whether they want this show to be hellhouse and driven by artificial torture, or a show where a bunch of retards interact with each other naturally. This constant bouncing back and forth has put a lot of the contestants in a state of confusion as to what they should be doing. We can see this with the contradictions staff has made in the past. I.E scheming was bad but now it's good.

Instead of seeing that the fish failed at the disability challenge in terms of entertainment and reacting in a way to calm everyone down and keep them grounded they doubled down. Instead of seeing that Jon isn't too fond of pretending to be retarded (although he doesn't have to pretend) and giving him a physical handicap where he would be more successful due to him thriving in physical comedy (getting kicked in the face, boxing, destroying walls, destroying mustard bottles), they give him the schizo one, ultimately leading to him feeling uninspired and not wanting to participate. In any reality TV show there has to be some behind the scenes shit to make sure the most entertaining result happens. The producers failed in this regard.

I understand the producers treating everyone equally in terms of contests though, and I cannot deny that Jon did not participate. Even if the producers are incompetent and can't realize what the audience wants, that doesn't change the fact that Jon didn't follow the challenges few vague rules. RIP Jon, here's to hoping you have a great future.
