I get a different read. He's trying to help her out. He's hinted very strongly that it's her and whoever she chooses as final two fish. She really believes she hadn't stopped moving.

I hate Letty because she's a disgusting slag (also anyone who says "I was true to myself" should be put to death), but at least she realizes that this is supposed to be entertaining and is trying to do her part to that end.

It's interesting to hear Vance candidly say that he cannot stop because if he loses this challenge he will be going home next. Letty asks if he is confident in his ability to perform in the challenges and he says "yeah" (obviously)
