With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

I think Damiel was a plant, in that he was there to cause chaos/drama, but that idea (like so many others) was quickly abandoned after shit kept falling apart and Damiel kept failing at getting the fish to react or do anything.

I think the reason the other fish hate Letty on social media is pretty simple, they're either butthurt that they lost to her because she was willing to go way farther than they were (Example, Letty ate ice cream off the floor during the monkey challenge while Josie didn't), or they were instructed by the crew themselves to keep up the hate, since that causes people to seethe, which in turn gets more views on fishtank.

If Damiel was a plant than he was an extremely bad one, but I guess it could be possible he was just that retarded.

During the first week I was expecting him to show up towards the end and give life advice or make fun of the remaining fish for even putting himself in that situation. He has a daughter, I believe. I also do and I think that's why it's hard to watch this show sometimes. Sylvia is a mess, but it's because she has shit parents so it was tough watching chat call her names. I'm guessing Nick probably has the same, "I'm a pussy now" thing going on as a father as well.

Betty has been uber butthurt about Letty, Sylvia hasn't said anything overt (or at least I haven't seen it) but has liked/implied tweets that she's not a Letty fan. Vance I have no idea if that's true since I haven't seen his Twatter outside what was posted here.

Sylvia has been in a few twitter spaces talking trash about Letty. Usually this wouldn't be a problem, but she frames it like Letty is the devil, and was just so evil and mean to her during the fishtank for no reason whatsoever :(. The last twitter space she was in she sounded like she was crying talking about her, not even kidding. It's also really fucking lame of her to do that, since when she left she clearly made up with her and said all the drama they went through was for the sake of the show.

My guess is that when a fish leaves the tank, even if they're on good terms with Letty, once they're confronted with the massive amounts of Letty hate by the majority of the fan base they immediately side with them. They do this because they want clout, and they fear their 15 minutes of fame will end much quicker if they try to sympathize with a fish that is largely hated by the community

There's this faggot who interviews the fish in a Twitter space after they leave the tank. He's usually the first one to do it, but I cannot recall his name. I've listened into these whenever a new fish is interviewed, and it is filled with retarded zoomers and neckbeards asking either terrible questions or attempting to be funny. In all circumstances these spaces are filled with Letty haters who ask questions to the fish about her. My guess is that when the fish are confronted with these questions they want to stay on the fanbases good side, so they tell them what the want to here, i.e. Letty bad. Whenever a fish insults her in the space you can here dozens of zoomers say shit like "preach" or "based." The fish are just appealing to them to hold on to what little clout they have.

This shit about "plants" should have died in the first few weeks. Why would a crew who has 24/7 access to the fish need someone on the inside? By your own logic Frank Hassle is a plant. Also Damiel, Sylvia, Frank, Josie, Vance, Lance, Chris, Betty and who knows how many other people already had prior knowledge of Jet and Sam.

I agree, I would compare it to Richard Linklater's more "Hollywood" films (Dazed and Confused, School of Rock) vs. the movies he was less constrained on (Slacker, Boyhood). The constraints made the movies better, and when unconstrained the good ideas peter out quickly and the movie falls off a cliff. I found WP more consistent than Sam's usual output, which for me is very hit or miss.
 
Sam hates Letty because she's his type (ie. weird art girls he fucked at RISD in the early 2000's).

Jet hates Letty because she's Sam's type.


This is all amplified because they spend way too much time on Twitter and are trying to appease the psychopaths and sex offenders that make up the Fishtank fanbase.
