That's a hell of a featured thread description lmao

Josie is so autistic she thinks that the $42,000 she won is life changing rich girl money. In reality it's barely enough to buy a shit trailer and a shit car on the shit reservation. Also hello IRS. Also the shitty hotel (((Goldstriker))) put the contestants in is like $60 a night and she thinks its the Ritz .

Erm...Total Josie Victory

For people who have lives and didn't keep up with Fishtank, Josie is an autistic (not autistic!) Native American/Mexican (or something) girl who "stims," hates loud noises, does weird stuff, talks silly and "commits to the bit" for challenges. She has been a fan favorite since the beginning because of everything I just said (plus coomers and pedos) with her detractors being from other contestants' followings, notably Letty's, seen getting shot in the face above.
She earned Fishtank an absurd amount of money once they enabled a Fish Toy, a way for viewers to waste money on the show, that allowed her fans to spend ~$500 to buy her cheap plushies. On top of that, she was very interactive with TTS messages (~$20-$30), especially when alone in her room.

It's no surprise they kept her around but when it came down to it she definitely earned her spot in the final two during a genuinely grueling face-off with another contestant, Vance, who was too much of a wuss for his own sake. He didn't know it, but this sealed his fate as she was immune from elimination until the end and Letty wasn't going anywhere, which Jason Goldstriker (Sam Hyde) had expressed prior to both Josie and Vance in 1-on-1 talks.

During the final 4 days where her and Letty were made to compete all day in a small bedroom together with limited bathroom breaks, she continued to put up with more than I think most anticipated and unintentionally foiled Letty's usual way of coping with stress. Both would become understandably miserable.

Victory March

Letty shoutout to Joshua Connor Moon, a good man.

Early plushy showcase on request of a viewer. Also an early showcase of her autism, which she does not have!

"Josie, truth or dare?"
Truth
"Have you ever kissed a girl?"
Nah, I don't fuck with that gay shit.

Bonus: Airsoftfatty/Chris screaming like a banshee with Josie as a guest

tbf 42k is quite a bit when you have nothing to start.

She's 21, has been a wagie since high school, was struggling to find a job, and is from a poor family. She expected a chance at a 10k prize and that alone was worth it according to her. If she's not retarded, which is asking a lot of most 21 year olds to be honest, that money can do a lot to set her up in a positive way.

She has said she doesn't intend to use it for fun and wants to establish savings and set up an online store to sell her art and merch with her art. We'll see how that goes but if her simps stay loyal she will rake in a lot more for awhile and hopefully progress in life.

Since the thread is featured, I'm going to reiterate that she has expressed that she doesn't want streaming to be her career but Jet Neptune and Sam Hyde insist she does it and doesn't even get a day job. Granted, Sam said she can get a job later but to focus on streaming for now. They're at least going to help her this week with setting it up and getting some initial streaming done.
In her post-Fishtank livestream she's asked about getting a normal job again and she says she still intends to, which lines up with what she said while in Fishtank. Personally, I think she has a good work ethic but low self esteem and terrible comprehension of her own self worth. With those fixed, she has decent potential for awhile but there's no telling how long the gravy train will last.

Her Youtube where she intends to livestream.

They deserved the money fair and square. S2 requires a lot more prepwork, but I think they are going to learn from their mistakes from S1 and it's going to be really good. Until then, being productive will shorten the downtime considerably.

I complained a lot about different things production did or didn't do. Watching the ending was a bit surreal. I realized that even though Sam pretends to be a hyper-masculine alpha male meme the real Sam is a (almost silly billy) theatre kid.

I am curious how much the fish were "in" on things throughout, but I especially believe Josie must have been prompted to approach the (ostensibly inexplicably) angry Sam (Willy Wonka) and offer him Queso to sell on the website as the catalyst to reveal the bit. They way Sam talked about Letty picking up the bits, being the villain, and "playing chicken with the truth" makes me think that in addition to getting permission to antagonize there was probably a degree of scripting involved.

Watching Fishtank with the assumption that the crew is wrangling literal retards who think they are on a game show is a diffferent expectation than realizing I watched a show of aspiring actors pretend to be on a interweb game show. In this light I have to withdraw one of my larger complaints: the rules not being concrete and points being irrelevant because production will fudge results.

To put on this type of performance it's absolutely necessary to have that kind of control over outcomes. I do wish it was less transparent sometimes so as not to ruin the immersion, but I think KF was the only place where people really saw through it anyway. I also think it's interesting that the only fish who chose to leave was Jon. (Mauro doesn't count). Jon, the literal retard, who took things too seriously especially after his return, was the only fish who really couldn't handle the environment. The idea of Hell House being so bad that fish would quit set up an interesting dynamic at least psychologically, but obviously any torment has to be within certain bounds. Anyone retarded enough to be on the show is going to be retarded enough to withstand those aspects. Case in point Hog: she melted down every time TTS called her fat and stupid, but she is fat and stupid enough that if TTS stopped for an hour and she overate then her mind was erased and she went back to being insufferable until TTS tore her up again.

I think the ending was great. I would have like to see Letty win because she was so hands-on whereas Josie was a shadow. Did Josie deserve the win? Yes, I think so. I don't think she won because of simps. I think it's because she didn't make waves and let other people become bigger targets than herself. So, how "in on it" was Vance and Hog and the others? I don't know. Maybe that kind of thing was circumstantial. But I do think Letty was in on a lot and I suspect Josie was in on the Willy Wonka bit at the end.

TL;DR Big gay post about why I retract my complaints about points and challenges being meaningless. I wish production was less transparent about guiding the outcomes but I'm cool with it now.

(even though he would have broken Josie's sorry little neck if Sam had told him to, and would have driven Letty's glasses through her eye socket if he'd known Sam would show so much affection for her in the finale),
Would he though? Sam was practically begging him to stop being so boring and kept trying to push him to be a bigger menace in his final challenge and he couldn't cut it.

That's fine that he doesn't have it in him to do that sort of stuff, most people don't, but how is he going to dickride Sam and Frank for their comedy and then say Letty is immoral for being willing to go there too.

Pretty sure he's just jealous and disappointed with himself and he seems to have taken his time in the tank pretty hard. It must have killed him to see Sam and Jet gushing over what a great job Letty did.

Chris was told by Jet to talk with Sam (no longer Goldstriker) about Josie and how she had nothing and then later on Jet returned Queso to Josie and said Sam has been losing it today but maybe offering Queso would help.

Josie was not at all in on it, you can tell by her body language on the way to Sam that she's really worried Queso is about to die. In her post-show livestream she confirmed that she thought Sam was going to rip Queso apart. It's incredible how well that all played out, including Josie's dramatic stop at the door. The ending really did make up for a lot.

I'm going to try to go through the archives and put together an ending video for the Farms, hopefully tomorrow. This way there's no ambiguity as to how things played out, I believe Letty, Josie, and Chris seriously thought this was how it was going down.

Question to season pass holders - anybody up for ripping the archival footage from the website and creating a torrent for it? There were so much great moments in these 42 days that weren't clipped because something equally interesting was going on in another room at the same time. It would be a shame if some of that stuff was gone forever.

Not much I could say that hasn't already been said, but my one wish for the next season is that they name the show different/cast under a different name/don't let the contestants know that it's Fishtank before the show starts. I don't place large expectations on the wigger crew, but if they advertise it as Fishtank season 2 to potential contestants, the whole thing is going to be dead in the water even before it begins. A big part of what made the season 1 (mostly) good was the unique personalities involved. However, if they get a bunch of people who are already hyper-aware of the show, the whole thing is going to be extremely inorganic. It would basically be a bunch of wannabe e-celebs trying LARP as next Josie or next Letty or next Jon because that's what worked about the first season and originality be damned. To a degree, that was already evident in the first season where correlation seemed to be that less familiar somebody was with Sam Hyde, more entertaining they were. If I recall correctly, people like Jon and Simon had zero clue about any of the personalities involved and were recruited from Craigslist (others were mainly made aware through Sam's social media). And that's what made it good because their reactions to things were genuine. Simon legitimately believed that he's been canceled and the resulting meltdown was pretty glorious. However, had it been somebody more aware of the whole thing, they would'd smelt the BS a mile away and maybe played along, but the reaction would'd been largely fake. Vance is a good example of this because he was a big MDE fan before and was so preoccupied with impressing his idol the whole time (though I do admit that his boring personality didn't help) that his actions seemed largely a function of him trying to determine how can he make Sam like him.

Anyway, it's been a wild ride and even though the last four days completely sucked, you know I'll be watching the next season from day one:semperfidelis:

Someone here who knows how to do that can you send me a message for all the software i'd need for ripping it directly from the archives, as im sure theres an easier way than clicking all thousands of videos. I have the space, just need the info on doing it.

Wow I can't believe the autistic woman who plays with children's toys was the favorite of all the NEET incels that watched this show! What a huge surprise, who would have seen this coming??

It's part of the reason I didn't pay much attention to this. The early thread and all off-site discussion was dominated by anime avatars simping for 1/10 troglodytes. Don't understand the appeal for the injun troon anyway, every clip she seemed very boring and slow in the mind.
