I don't know. When they all found out they were MDE fans, they were so giddy with themselves. They were spouting memes and laughing and cheering when the sharks came and threw trash and food around the house. Then less than 24 hours later several of them were sobbing wrecks, breaking into hysterics or needing to be consoled by staff or squirreled away to their lonesome. They might know about the premise of the show, but knowing about it and being able to actively take it in stride are different things. The only takeaway I got from the "reveal" was that Sam and Jet want to torture superfans, who are more than likely to take it as opposed to people like JC. I think even if they reach their breaking point, they'll be inclined to stay because they don't want to be seen as quitters in the eyes of the fans or their "idol".

there was constant jokerposting about jet, and complaining about scam hyde and how watered down the "hell house" turned out to be.

I wouldn't say it's DOA exactly, people are still watching. Just noting that the hype surrounding this season seems like it's greatly diminished from season one
 
I'm still trusting the plan but HOLY SHIT today has been a brutal day to watch.
After having nothing for them to do all day, we follow it up with the biggest #content of them all... more exercising!

Bunching these three together is a mistake. Sylvia and especially Vance were massive MDE dickriders. Vance aped Sam's bits all the time, had his own little comedy group even the name of which (Triple Buck Empire) was similar to Million Dollar Extreme etc. Both him and Sylvia were walking around giddy after they heard the news that Frank was coming over, Letty didn't know who he was at all and admitted she thought he was like a "hippie" when he first arrived. There's a difference between having watched a few of Sam's skits and devoting the better part of your life idolizing him. If you ask me, the only S1 fish in on it from the get-go were Damiel, Vance and Sylvia.

Having it in the Christmas season definitely didn’t help. Viewership might jump up after Christmas. Also, it doesn’t help that all of the drama/content is happening in the middle of the night. I think the hype is there but people are consuming fishtank content by watching highlights and reading recaps.
 
I really look forward to some young blood who's balls haven't been bashed in by years of controversy to take a stab at a project like this. If it wasn't obvious enough from s1, s2 has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the staff doesn't have what it takes to stick to the premise. The overall main challenge of Fishtank is supposed to be staying inside a house for 6 weeks straight, the fish are supposed to want to leave, they are supposed to be DESPERATE for cash and constantly wondering if its worth it.
Instead Jet and crew make it as comfortable as possible with the exception of light bursts of "generic physical challenge you used to do in gym class" because they are horrified of the contestants leaving and will bend over backwards to stop them even though it is completely counter productive to main challenge.

Not saying this as a prediction but I wouldn't be surprised if its the opposite, a lot of people are probably watching now just because they got into the habit but once that habit is broke from the holidays, and the previous days have been boring as hell, why would they come back

Also catching up on some posts. I did want to elaborate on my summer being “dumped” posts. I don’t think anyone outright said that she was dumped anywhere, people at most said “I hope that’s not what happened!”.

Although someone made a good counter point to my airport concerns which convinced me that my own expectations regarding an airport escort were unreasonable. I would like to apologize to the wigger crew. Although I would like to say: Jet, shitting on you is like crack, please make it less addicting.
