I'm just not feeling it for this season, to be honest. The only halfway interesting fish is Shinji, and only because he's Simmons without the baggage.

Some people are celebrating how the fish are fighting, messing with one another's stuff, and throwing poop around within the show's first week, but imo the strength of Season 1 was it's slow burn. Each fish was more or less developed by the end of week 1 and the house's vibe turned from awkward to just outright insane by show's finale. Jon slowly getting on everyone's nerves, Letty realizing the whole house is against her and deciding to fight back, Sylvia becoming more hysterical as TTS starts targetting her, etc. Then Frank and Chris came in at just the right time and opened the floodgates, the house became irreversibly toxic after that.

Compare Brian, CK, and Trish's little episode last night to when Damiel went off on Letty over his shoes. We haven't spent any real time getting to know Brian or Trish, there was no weeks worth of tension in the air, there's not enough sympathy or hatred on the audience's part for them to pick a side, etc. It's just a bunch of people we don't care about arguing, I don't need to pay a $60 Season Pass to see that. Whereas Damiel and Letty were at odds the moment they walked into the house, we saw them talk shit and scheme against one another, they then sort of teamed up at one point, and then boom, the shoes went missing and they both just let each other have it. It was actually exciting seeing it go down live.
We have arguably spent more time getting to know Brian than any of the season 1 fish, you are forgetting that they actually talk this time around, in fact they seem allergic to silence. What did we learn about Vance from his like 5? weeks in the tank? He likes to drum, he is dumb like a golden retriever and he has trouble being mean. Meanwhile we know everything there is to know about Brian, he has gone on and on and on and on about his history and his views and we now even have his ex gf in the tank. Damiel sucked ass because he was an actual plant, he constantly had production whispering in his ear telling him what gay shit to fake be upset about that day.

The fact that we've already lost some fish is not helping, Summer had to go but if the cast is just going to randomly bail when it's not even a "hell house" then it's hard to get attached to any of them. I wonder how many will be left by the 1st.

There's ways to cast people for these shows that have genuinely never heard of Sam Hyde and want to win money but it's much harder and might involve paying a service. Maybe next time.

It’s clear by now there’s a weak fish issue. People are willing to lie their way onto the show. Anything to meet their MDE favorites. Here’s my idea for fixing the problem.
I really don't think any of that is necessary, if they wanted to get people completely ignorant/oblivious fish they almost definitely can, they just have weird or outright retarded priorities when it comes to casting the fish.
I mean internet wise sure, Sam/MDE has its hold and notoriety but in the grand scheme it really isn't all that mainstream, chances are not a single neighbor of yours has any idea who he is or what any of his projects are.
They are either intentionally going for people who are likely to be familiar with them to avoid trouble (A fan is at least a bit less likely to sue you or leave on the spot) or it's a subconscious thing where they just happen to find people like them (MDE fans) funny and interesting and are unable to recognize it in themselves.

while an amazing idea (technically this is what american idol and others do inbetween the audition round and top 69) The problem is it would cost a fuck load for little reward and honestly i don't expect Jet and friends to make it work. plus the idea of a mass culling of people going through a spedrun version of fish tank honestly sounds more appealing than actual fishtank. the TTS stuff and fishtoys aren't really worth it for me honestly. I think everyone watching would 100% prefer to watch your idea than this. Especially because the idea of a "hell house" at the level of intensity expected probably would mean a high washout rate which would require having a fuck load of people.

The other problem is i think the crew pays for the contestants airfare/travel to the house. so doing that for 900 people only to have 10 by the end is going to set them back a lot. Also what would a hell week really entail? Just being yelled at and having people throw shit at you?

Don't know why you need to not know who Sam Hyde is either, despite what the jew run media say, most people are fine with his content. Joe Rogans new best friend openly stated Sam Hyde is the reason he wanted to become a professional comedian. He's part of one of the most superchatted shows on youtube and literally was a highlight of this year's biggest comedy festival. Knowing who Sam Hyde is in 2023 is like knowing who James Gunn is back in 2010. Normies might not know but he's not exactly Mike and Sven, he's inside the overton window and if you're into online stuff whatsoever you have heard of him, a much smaller percentage have watched his content but even then its not like the other Mike and Sven's content. Being offended by Sam Hyde makes you look like a fucking loser literally on par with getting offended by James Gunn back in 2010.

Unless the fishtank decides to have contestants over the age of 40, no one is going to have a shit fit over Sam Hyde, the amount of bluecheckmark types out there are a lot less than you think, especially if you aren't casting people in LA/NYC

I don't think people realize how much Fishtank makes. It has a million in angel investor funding alone. Letting the show rot because you don't want to spend money on auditions seems silly. Especially with the unneeded expense of stuff like free MMA training is somehow justified. A culling process doesn't seem like a terrible evolution next season.

Detective Cole relentlessly interogated CK and exposed her as a paid actress. And not a very good one either. Couldn't keep her story straight which Coleumbo used to crack this case wide open. Cryan was having a moment earlier. He doesn't know what's real anymore. Cole is actively going against Jet's scripted bullshit.

Im already tired of the gay CK and Brian drama whether it's real or not. They most probably got paid behind the scenes to keep the drama going, but either way it wasn't funny past the initial encounter in B2. FT has been a slog ever since she's in there.

If you’re not aware, the Navy Seals have a program to wash out all the wannabe tough guys. This is so both parties involved don’t waste each other’s time. The idea for the Tank is that you have a 3-5 day tryout period for 20-25 fish. During this period everyone must complete three challenges a day, there are sleeping bags in place of beds, and you’re not allowed to speak to other fish. Talking to staff is encouraged. Paying members of the website can watch. But it’s before the official launch of the show.

A portion will wash out naturally. Some of them just straight up hate the challenges. For the rest you create a point system. Any MDE references you lose points. Signs of weakness? That’s points lost. Skipping a challenge? You get the idea. By the end of it Five Men and Five Women are chosen based on a point system and overall behavior. Then, the day leading up to the official launch of the show, you air an edited version of the past few days. With interviews of the winning fish.

This is key: None of the losers of hell week are ever acknowledged by the show’s history. So, people like Meg don’t get their glorified fan meetup and undeserved attention. The remaining fish have proven they can hack it. It’s win-win.
These are very good ideas. Sadly you posted them on the kiwifarms, so now Jet will never do even remotely anything like that.

Another very common Cole W. Shoutout to Beta Brian in the background watching his girl bow down to the detective king.

This season can be defined as "fake and gay" after Summer.

What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Simmons was totally unlikable and creepy. Shinji is cool and funny without even having to try. How are they even comparable aside from being Asian?

Think you have nostalgia goggles on. We've gotten to know the fish quite a bit, especially Brian and Cole who are basically the protagonists right now. Letty, Jon, and Simmons were the only interesting people in S1 and Simmons got kicked out in the first week. I would also say a lot of the content from S1 didn't come from individual fish but the freeloaders themselves. Simon, Lance, Fatty, and to an extent Frank really had to carry a lot of weight on their back to give us some kino moments. The fish didn't make S1, it was the freeloaders interacting with the fish. S2 so far the fish themselves have a lot more personality and are interacting with each other a lot more and there's a bit more stuff behind the scenes pushing interactions with the fish actually putting in effort. We already know the crew tried to encourage the fish to do shit behind the scenes but literally only Letty followed through and did anything.

New challenge from the Judge. Rules are vague but basically everyone is split into pairs, women are queens and the males are the servants. Whoever controls their man the best gets $1500, whoever is the best male slave gets $1000. Judge says that this "may" be an elimination challenge but likely nothing will come from it. The challenge is meant to run through the night. Pairs are as follows:
Tayleigh - Shinji
Trish - Brian
CK - Cole
TJ - Jimmy
Only 3~ minutes in and TJ is already yelling and berating jimmy really hard. Looks like it'll be a good challenge.

Edit: either I misunderstood or they switched pairs. Trish - Jimmy, CK - Brian, TJ - Cole

TJ is gonna troon out after this power trip hes having over Jimmy.

Also is so stupid to hear someone might get eliminated, everyone knows the staff cant afford to lose more fish just drop the elimination shit unless its a real liability like Summer, if you need to force someone to partake in the challenges just threaten to take away their fishbucks or something like that.

Goldstriker told Jimmy he needs to call TJ 'mommy', considering his well documented tranny and femboy hunting on /soc/ he's probably going to goon off to this later.

update: He just kissed TJ on the cheek while putting a dress on him.
