The point of the show is for people to get out of their comfort zones, aren't we supposed to expect otherwise normal or boring people go feral?
The problem is the selection of fish and freeloaders, and specifically Jet's actions and the WWE writing tier and forcing of plots. Half the fish just self terminated right off the bat for a variety of reasons, mostly because of the staff fucking with them before the fish could even figure out if they liked or hated them. JC just left, Summer's brain entered the next dimension from an anxiety attack Sam put her into, Megan got emotional over getting put in the corner or some shit by Ben, Cole started mentioning S1 then immediately Sam jumps on him and Ben comes and tells him to come to the basement so he just quits/kicked. Right as the fish start getting grudges forming Jet, Ben or Sam stomps all over it. No fucking wonder the fish are just passive, they never get a chance to do anything. Then you get the telegraphed plotline and elimination meant for Summer and TJ where one or the other eliminates the other, except Summer went into space so now they had to get a succubus in the form of Taylor to do it, except you're kicking a freeloader, not a fish. The only freeloader that actually provided content was Nifty solely by acting like a rage totem that none of the fish could enact upon. Every time Tayleigh starts getting entertaining by attacking Nifty in some form Jet rushes in and says "Oh no no, Nifty is protected" which only further unified the fish against her. Tayleigh starts a beef to put in the dog house, nope not allowed, Tayleigh wants to rub peppers on Nifty's glasses in the middle of the night, nope, Tayleigh throws BBQ sauce on her pillow? Jet tells her off. The only other content producer, Jimmy, continuously crosses way over into inappropriate stuff like violently attacking other fish but gets coddled. Trish, Brian and Shinji are just dead when it comes to content aside from chatting up TTS or winning the contests.
As for the freeloaders Kanye isn't hostile to the fish, Octavius was just a dude-weed-bro MMA comedian Joe Rogan clone, Delaney was just too mellow and her antics were just 'drunk woman' stuff like hitting Jimmy in the head with a shoe, if anything her presence was having a calming effect and dampening Jimmy's tard rages. Charleston spent his entire time screwing around with the TTS and immediately running off when it mentioned gay shit, his stuff with Tayleigh was just comedy for an hour, not hostility. Nifty is the only
content generating freeloader, but it had the opposite effect of unifying the fish not pitting them against each other. The S2 is trying to be scripted and not scripted at the same time and its failing at both for a variety of reasons. I think most have figured out the theme is to make the fish grow a spine and take initiative for their own affairs, but the problem is they kept stepping on those that
did take initiative. Then the eliminations are totally arbitrary and at the whims of Sam and Jet, so what exactly is the point of getting immunity or participating? The challenges were meant to be humiliating and demeaning, the winner debasing themselves to win.
S1 fish were just built differently, by the end the whole house was covered in human shit, food sauces, and pockmarked with holes. Letty was basically reduced to a single outfit covered in sauces and other stains, Fatty only had a single pair of shit stained underwear, Vance and Josie were also run down bad. Sam wants the S2 crew act like S1 but never allows them to feud.
