KF clearnet site is down so I'm back on Tor.

Right now the fish were given pills and jello shots. No one knows what the pills are, and the jello shots are just seemingly normal jello cups without anything else it. The fish wonder if the pills they were given are laxatives, gas station boner pills, or caffeine pills. I'm wondering if they're placebo pills and it's all in their head. If they are actually real pills, I assume it's caffeine pills given that Sam asked about anyone having heart issues.

Danye chewed the pills instead of swallowing them, now he's itching and swearing that the pills are "itch pills". I can't tell if he's just an idiot or if this is a pre-planned bit that he's in on and he's trying to freak the fish out. Either way he's complaining about itching and inching himself non-stop.

It's been about 15 minutes since they were given the pills. Outside of wondering what they could be, no one is acting any different except Danye.

The fish are now being informed that they are taking an IQ test that will determine their rankings in the house. Sam says they do NOT want to come in last. They have 45 minutes to take the test. Sam says the pills they were given will help them focus.

Sam asks the fish who they think is the smartest and dumbest. Most say Shinji will be the smartest, the dumbest is Danye. TJ thinks Abby is the dumbest but doesn't elaborate why. Jimmy doesn't agree that Shinji will have the highest score on the test, not because he isn't smart, but that English isn't his first language so he might not understand all the questions. Jimmy thinks Tai is the dumbest, but doesn't elaborate.

I highly doubt it's laxatives, not only for legal liability reasons but also because having the fish stuck in the bathroom all day or hunched over in bed isn't really entertaining.

TJ is the first contestant on Fishtank to have a true arc/narrative. Vance had a similar arc, but failed to become more assertive and less of a pussy by the end of the season.

Interesting list and an especially interesting take on TJ. Personally, I think fish that belong in A tier or higher need to be capable of generating content on their own without the constant assistance of production. I don't think TJ's arc is the first true narrative, but it's the longest lasting one.

I've been seeing a lot of TJ support in this thread, so I'll provide a bit of a different opinion. TJ is an artificial main character. Every single one of his perceived arcs has required him to be hand held by production or other fish. There's nothing wrong with production putting a fish in a position to flourish and create content, JC and Cole was a perfect example of a great natural narrative that started as a result of production. The problem with TJ is that he cannot create a natural narrative nor can he carry one without help.

It almost seems like the idea of TJ being a main character is being forced down are throats. His interviews with Sam in the attic, his "relationship" with Taylor, and especially his fight with Sam all scream at the audience to perceive TJ as their next protagonist. This perception is well and good, but the fact remains that without production constantly meddling in his plot lines, he would not be nearly as popular.

I want to make it a point that production isn't just starting TJ's plot lines, but they are accompanying him throughout their entirety. Encouraging him to make certain choices at an uncomfortably fast rate. TJ fighting judge stemmed from Jet encouraging him to do so. TJ kissing Taylor (a literal actor given the job to be a love interest to TJ) was because production set it up to happen. He's not just being nudged into making a choice, he is actively being pushed. This makes him seem forced, and more of a representation of a protag rather than an actual main character.

TJ might be growing (although that's arguable), but his growth is of no choice of his own, making it feel unearned and not at all satisfying. After his fight with Sam when he was being praised by production for a choice he didn't even make by himself, it seemed like the result of a very forced narrative. He's being put on a pedestal by production, and that makes me dislike him even more.

The fish are all taking IQ tests while Doctor Judge walks around asking everyone who they think is smartest and dumbest. Everyone thinks Shinji is probably the smartest. While they're trying to focus, Sam keeps talking about how it smells like gator shit and distracting everyone. He also told Dumb Gay to go put some pants on.



Doctor Judge is swinging the christmas lights around and accidently smacks it by Brittany. Also tells Trish he's going to lash her across the eyes with it, before throwing a box of plastic silverware around the room, proclaiming its an "epic Rick and Morty joke". He's trying hard to mess with them. They do polls for smartest and dumbest as well, with Shinji and Kanye winning, respectively.

After finishing Jimmy walks around smoking a cigarette, while Sam continues being obnoxious, playing loud noises and generally being a nuisance to everyone while the time ticks down. Jimmy eventually gets in on the fun, continually asking Sam annoying questions. Tay and Tai finish up next.

Brittany finishes 4th, while Doctor Judge continues being annoying to everyone. Tay asks if she can leave the room, and is denied. When she asks why Jimmy is allowed to, she gets told that Jimmy has special privileges while giggling to himself. Also asks Brittany if she took a shit.

He keeps telling the other fish that it's not placebo and that they will feel it soon.
