With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

What did Jimmy say to Sam before he quit? To me it sounded like Sam told Jimmy that the fight would go until he or TJ announced they quit. Jimmy said he was done. Sam said that he had to say "I quit" before they'd end the match. What I heard was Jimmy saying "then I'm quitting the show," meaning he was choosing to leave the show instead of admitting that TJ beat him.

People are saying Jimmy got kicked off for quitting the fight but I don't think that's true. I think he quit the show voluntarily because he couldn't handle losing.

You think Sam wanted Jimmy to win and use that to get TJ out? It's possible, but I dunno, TJ is otherwise a boring but likeable guy who isn't a potential liability like Jimmy, and Sam appreciated how he stood up to him in their boxing match. Plus why would they keep him on this long and agree to censor TTS about his porn account if they were just going to kick him for it? And why use Jimmy of all people for it?

If a contestant is boring on a gameshow I think it's production's responsibility to make them interesting. If they're completely irredeemable then obviously it was a total failure by casting. Aside from egregious or unknowable shit like Jimmy's violence a failure of a fish is a failure on production. Their job is to be playing up the strengths of each fish and keeping their weaknesses minimized unless it's to make them vulnerable to other contestants, and to give them enough interesting shit to work on between challenges so they're not sitting around being bored out of their minds

they've been chambering the lubecooch info for a long while, which to me reads like indecision what, if at all, to do with it - so they finally pulled the trigger with this Jimmy's reintroduction because whatever, there's barely enough of the season left for people to care, the idea being to see if TJ swims or sinks with his shame being public knowledge outside, how and if relationships change if it becomes common knowledge in the house (late and weird timing, should've introduced it as he was trying to woo Taylor and later Brit)
so not out of the house, but out of the closet
Frank's the type to glom onto people's shame, maybe he was in on the reentry scripting, or maybe he got some ideas into Jimmy's head through casual conversation that Jimmy fixated on in a manner not wholly intended - Frank got his tag partner, but Jimmy sperged out before the duo could go into action

but nothing's really worked out this season, and having it yelled at TJ as TJ is getting kicked in the dick by Peeing Jimmy, it's all just weird lol

I read the TJ vs Sam boxing situation completely differently
Sam sperged because he's a pent up guy that can get caught up in the moment, but he's also a highly attuning fella who genuinely doesn't like seeing people distressed, so he switched gears as if there was an emotional arc to the experience, turning his spergery into a "growth experience" of TJ's (and he got away with it, because people are suckers) - rather than any regard for TJ, it was his disregard for him that found them boxing when they shouldn't be
I don't think Sam cares about TJ either way, he's a sperg in a way that endears to no-one
