With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

While I do agree: I'm not alone in this belief, especially after the Wild Randy freakout he had. Alex sounds like Cyraxx, lies like Cyraxx, and threatens to beat peoples' asses over the internet like Cyraxx. wildmarty.png
 
So plans changed at some point. The fan mail was given after the reveal, and the "robots" were never used. The G hates Ben and Ben hates Vance plotlines never went anywhere either. I wonder what provoked the early reveal? The Smaack phone call?
 
Prince is still talking about leaving with the 'I'm a black boy in dah woods they gonna keel me I'm still not feelin' right!!'. Payton was seen packing her bags, so she might leave too, but Prince mentioned not leaving if someone else left before him.

I think they probably didn't want something to blow their cover. Maybe it might have been gaynigger and others? starting to pack, even before the reveal.

Or maybe he just said fuck it.

Yes, a lot of plot lines were thrown out very suddenly. They let the Fish in on every single gaslight and took no prisoners. The Computer plot line is dead, fake scenes have lost any real meaning, gay Ben is dead, any sense of tv show gaslighting is dead, it’s kind of like a full on reset. The Fish are now fully aware they are being fucked with. They’re in on the joke.

They did make sure no Fish left last night, so credit where credit is due. But usually with reveals like this it takes a few days for the consequences to boil over and the Fish to get a real sense of what’s going on. There was already an extreme mood shift last night.

In the moment the reveal was awesome and Production deserves a lot of credit, but at the end of the day Production did get rid of an entire layer of content the audience enjoyed. That being the fake reality tv gaslights. Now that the Fish are in on the joke, Production needs to find a replacement to fill that gap, and it will probably take a bit to form. Production has overcome the short term issue of Fish being freaked out and leaving after a big reveal, but now we’ll see if they’ll truly survive in the long run.
 
Laron is going around asking for people to vote for him in the elimination because he wants out but also wants his winnings. What a fucking bitch lmao.

Yeah, kudos to them for keeping the full group (for now), but they better boil the frog slowly. Throw Frank Hassle at them right now and half the fish would leave.

I think that's the best thing he could do tbh. He was going to leave the very moment tts dropped a slur, It's best if he takes the next elimination spot than quitting right now and having the Jeet get voted out.
Jeet still needs to suffer more.
 
I still want the clean reset [no returning cast/freeloaders] but that seems so unlikely now. I also don't think there is much of a plan now going forward. Prove me wrong, wiggers!

e: also jeet needs to stay for torment and Laron needs to stay specifically because he wants to leave. Kick Peyton before them.

honestly once the heat gets turned on they'll drop. there is still 4 weeks left, and they specfically said they let smaack go because they didn't want to see her suffer through what they have planned. So it must be big. Honestly i see it playing out like a worse version of season 2, so many people drop in week 3 and 4 that it becomes boring tank the last week and then week 6 they finish with a dud.

You will be throwing a lot of 'value' away if you did a true reset. I think it is clear that among the people that production have worked with there are an equal number of duds to the great additions. So anyone who can be good on stream, good with taking direction without a lot of pushback can be hard to find. I think that they do enough different stuff mixed in with old things that work to still keep it fresh at least.

Yeah when you have weirdo guys who are proven content in your back pocket like Jimmy, Jon, Fatty, and Greg it'd be dumb to just never use them again. Just don't over do it.
