With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I respect Burt, he understands that he's lost in sin but he's honest about it. Tony is a piece of shit constantly doing the wrong thing and not trying to correct it, even though he stands there preaching that Our Lord Jesus Christ hates it. I'd be cool if any of them had a genuine interest in his soul. I don't think that the man can even consent to gay conversion therapy, he barely can consent to be part of this show.
 
Just switching between the different feeds and realizing I don't care about any of this and I don't know if there's anything they can do to save the show for me.

I've never watched fishtank for the torture, I don't get any enjoyment out of watching Frank throwing cups of piss at people or whatever, outside of what that means in the character arc of the person being hassled. The problem is there are no characters like that left. The OG fish that are left were my least favorite, and what value they had was in their relationships with the more interesting people in the house. Having to watch the worst OG fish interact with the new people I care about even less isn't fun and no amount of hassling can change that. I hope I'm wrong, I hope they come up with some 160IQ shit that makes it all worth it in the end but it's not looking good.

Haven't been able to watch a ton today but every time I see Kawan and Tony they are doing some absolute comedic henchman bullshit. I want to see them bumbling around the house slipping on banana peels and shit while this plays.

I enjoy watching people overcome adversity, I do enjoy watching people figure out how to hassle problems out of the house, that can be fun. But watching a bunch of assholes dogpile a schizo has zero appeal. If you want to try to bring someone to Christ, okay, but he's obviously not open to it. His whole life is being a schizo man that fucks dudes and occasionally women.

Seeing the OG fish last night decide siding with a person who grooms children into a damaging life of adult performance so they could vote out the other OGs, and hearing their rationalizations for doing so ("not my sibling", "It's the same as shein modeling." "Not my problem." "They could just get him out of here without wasting a chance to get rid of Simbal." "That's just queer culture.") made me hate them. Then once he's gone Binx goes hard on Burt because she wants that $50k. So brave.

Neither do I want to watch Burt constantly go on about being slutshamed and defending queer people. I don't care. Go home, motherfucker.

ETA: Persian is crying rn in kitchen because he can't move on women as fast because he's big with a beard and could come off as a predator. It's not fair wah wah wah. Homo.

I was reflecting on today and I feel like Binx breaking Burt changed my perception of him. She's playing the game, sure, but I think after knowing him 4 weeks, she would know he doesn't understand what he's doing most of the time.

I'm not trying to make Burt not culpable for his actions but seeing him get so upset and cry after that made me look at him different. He was crying like a child, not an adult. I think Sam saw that too, and let him go cool off for a while. I wonder how Binx truly felt, because her turning on him made me see her as an adult tormenting a retarded kid. It didn't reflect well at least.

I think Burt is in way too deep. I think he should go home. I pity him.
 
After crying about being The Unfuckable Persian in the kitchen, Alex Stein handed Tony a Fishbuck for doing a good job today. Kuan lost his mind and is now sleeping on astroturf, getting back to his Zoroastrian roots. Suffah! SUFFAH!

The issue is with a meme lawyer like that they are WAY more likely to get sued. Yes, the case is baseless and will go nowhere but it will still take a huge hit on production's resources. This is much scarier than if she had a reputable lawyer with a good record, this guy would pursue just about anything and would totally wreck their shit in fees by dragging out the proceedings however possible.
