With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

We can only speculate what goes on in that deeply wrinkled head. I believe he thought it would be funny, but did not understand the DISGUST it would evoke from the audience. He could also be gay and really into that thing.

I disagree but only because the theft angle gives a lot of option for the people who are less interesting in challenges but more cunning. Also I feel like it's not exactly hard to get robbed if you have 2 brain cells to rub together. There's been too much whining from contestants (Aryeh) about theft this season and I feel like it drowns out the impact it has.

Secondarily I think the fishbucks are currently flying too fast and loose. 40 fishbucks for the cell is insane and I can't justify the reason for it unless production slowly pulls fishbucks out or devalues them. Though in fairness they're imaginary play currency so they're worth nothing if production sees fit, so it could just be an excuse to draft a merit-based paycheck, though by that same token I could be giving far too much credit to the Wiggers.

Either way, I feel like Aryeh, Daniel, and Direnc complain far too much about theft even though they all ostensibly knew what they were getting into. Ellie has been largely nontent but she's also somewhat in the complaint camp. To Direnc's credit she's a great sport about most other things.

I've known of Ricky Berwick for a while, but this is my biggest exposure to him. I respect the guy from what I've seen of him. He obviously has a lot of difficulties, but he doesn't seem to let it get to him and he's got a good sense of humor about it. He gives me a higher appreciation for life, like if he can make it through with what he's got going on, maybe what I've got going on isn't so bad.

Aryeh almost walked because Freddie won't back off him and keeps saying "No one talk to my dog!" Aryeh seems to have received a touching letter beforehand that contributed to this. TTS is talking shit about Freddie and trying to lift Aryeh up with some Freddie boosters and Aryeh downers mixed in for good measure.
