I am actually surprised how well is has been working. Mexijet (roberto) is a lot more competent than jet and does not fly into a rage, fake or real, like sam. Yeah, he lacks sam's level of charisma, but he is pretty quick at translating on the fly which makes up for it. Fenix can also speak english which helps. I think josh can too but he doesn't a lot for some reason? Once they got gringo sam who can kind of translate too it started working a lot better.

Sam should smuggle in roberto, replace jet, but keep calling him jet. He could probably pay him half and get away with it.

Roberto tried feeding the remainder of the beans to Jeff, but failed. Jeff threw up shortly afterwards. He still has to finish the remaining beans.

i remember a point around season 1 when people bitched about fishtank wasn't good enough because people weren't be tortured. i believe this is why i prefer the off-shoot shows more than the original because it's a dumb show, but i like this dumb show. i don't want to see torture, i want to see entertainment
 
So is fishtank done for considering S5 failed at this point?
I don't know if it hurts or helps them that Sam Hyde fucked up that interview too - but maybe them taking a few Ls will help to better align them for a new season.

Also: why the fuck are niggers talking about spictank and other shit in here? I know its tangentially related but it just makes this thread into a giant globohomo mess of "anything that is remotely similar to fishtank".

Can the mods please force separate threads for the spin off shows at this point because there have been like 5-10 different spin offs at this point and just keep this thread for Fishtank and Fishtank cast alone?
I'd rather be reading about any updates about the failure of S5 of Fishtank than the mexican version (which I could still read about it a dedicated thread)
 
None of the competitors are going to be as big as the original. I'd advise making a spinoff general thread and keeping it there. As long as MDE's Fishtank is out of season, the main Fishtank chat can be used for that. If for whatever reason a spinoff becomes independently successful it can get its own thread.

I agree. Fishtank is fucked rn, so there is no reason to start an entirely seperate thread just because the new fishtank is mexican, What is the reason of starting a new thread just because the OG creators are bad at their job? I just don't get it

Agreed, the spinoffs are so closely related (at least for now) that it would be pretty hard to keep the threads separate anyway. The individual fish threads already have this problem, where almost everything has to be crossposted since it’s also relevant to Fishtank.

The individual fish threads are under-exposed because most people don't know they exist, so their content has to be cross-posted to the general. Having the "Fishtank" prefix not limited to the general thread, but also individual fish and spin-off threads, would increase their exposure and activity, although @Null said the prefix exists only to provide the message for the chat link.
