With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Two addresses are listed for the business:
  • 999 MAIN STREET, SUITE 701 PAWTUCKET, RI 02860 USA - This is the address that Sam films his streams, podcasts, and pretty much everything else from
  • 50 GREEN ST WRENTHAM , MA 02093 USA - This is the S3 house
A business number is listed for Fishnet that seems to be associated with the 999 Main Street address:
  • 2038569276 - Googling this pulls up the App Store page for the Fishtank app and an SEC filing for Subverse Inc, a company set up by Bill (Ottman) and Tim Pool. Pretty safe to assume this number is Bill's
Finally, the licence was revoked as they didn't file their 2025 annual report:

Jon is, ultimately, parading around a what amounts to a company that intends to move their business in another state letting their Certificate of Incorporation in Rhode Island lapse.

I think that taking fishtank applications for a hot minute is a scheme to stop more people from canceling their subscriptions. The holidays are coming up, and with no signs of a season 5 in the works, lots of people have probably been canceling since the end of October/beginning of November, when people naturally start thinking about money for the holidays.

That's why they put the application on the website. They don't want fan contestants, they just want to convince fans to hang in there and keep paying for another 10 months until they have time to barely scrape together another poorly thought out season. Taking some applications (and putting them in the round file) creates buzz for a season that probably isn't even on the drawing board, and costs them nothing. If they had something in the planning stages, they could give us a sneak peek of a set being constructed, furniture, video bumpers, ANYTHING, but they have nothing.
 
If you have to pay to even apply then that's a red flag. I haven't logged into the site since season 3, it's an awful experience, so I wouldn't know.
Considering season 4 alone, anyone who subscribes before a season goes live is a retard that needs a caretaker. There's not much reason to subscribe and the people making the show hate you, they really do. The ones they cater to the most are deranged fans who pay for the privilege to chat on the site in between seasons.

The only correct move is Fishtank Forever, where there is no prize, no winners, and it's a perpetual clusterfuck in which they accept anyone and everyone, and torment them until they quit or are eliminated, over and over, again and again, ad nauseum, for a good 8 months before legal filing mount up once more.

I wasn't even logged into my account to apply and canceled my subscription not long after S4, so I didn't have to pay.
