This season really feels like the Acali Experiment.

If you aren't familiar look it up, but the TLDR is that this anthropologist took 11 strangers on a long boating expedition with the theory that the isolation would drive them to start raping and killing each other. It ended up just being a group bonding between the 11 and the anthropolgist just seething that he was wrong. To the point that he tried to fabricate situtations to piss them off and start going at each other. It then resulted in the 11 subjects, instead, just bullying him and causing him to just sit deflated for the remainder of the expedition.

The audience and to a degree production is the anthropologist. And these fish are so amicable and likeable in person that people either grow to like them too much to mess with them or are bullied out. And even the baddest of the bad freeloaders have some level of humanity in them. People think Frank would fix it, but I feel like he would run into a wall similar to Josie in S1 where he feels too bad about trying to mess with the twins. Bashir and Landon know him so they would most likely just fanboy out. Maybe James Drake would be the most impacted but even then, I feel like he would just realize Frank has a line he can't cross and it would probably be similar (but less pussy) to when Simbal figured out the line in S3.

Sounds similar to what happened on S2 of Bear Grylls's The Island. The men absolutely thrived everyone did what they were best suited for or what was necessary. The women not so much. Their constant need to put everything to a vote caused them to waste time and eventually the group fractured into two factions. It is funny because it is clear the goal was to show how women strong and can do the same or better then the men. Instead it showed the opposite with the women getting dangerously close to starvation even with the help of the production. At one point they ruin half their supply of fresh water as well as the ability for that jerrycan to be used for fresh water. The whole season is free on Youtube.
To stay on topic with the thread there is little reason to be antagonistic since they make eliminations based on voting. There are not enough people left to create groups to block vote. At this point being a dick is the fastest way to end up in the out group and likely be voted off if that is the method chosen for elimination. Flooding the house with freeloaders to create a second team might be the best way counter the friendtank problem.

True but that's something that his parents should've taken care of and taken responsibility for. I think it's awful that his parents weren't able to be persistent enough to teach him how to tie his own shoes, to ride a bike, to eat food that has adequate nourishment, take him to some sport etc. I know it's easier said than done and that the support system to the parents maybe wasn't great, and that it's hard to wrangle a grown man who will at times act like a pissy 13 year old.

But you have to keep trying. If Landon had been better looked after he would be much healthier, and able to do a lot more. This is a critical responsibility for any parent, but especially when there's some special needs involved. One day Landon's parents will die, and I worry for his ability to take care of himself .

The bullet ended after Anissa's elimination (and even then, production basically told Bashir to kick her since she already wanted to leave), everything since has been walkouts except for Emma. It's already been said on there multiple times that there's no more voting, so they're free to fuck with each other if they want.

They got rid of voting/winner chooses eliminations after Anissa's. JD just walked and Emma lost an elimination challenge against James since the Tard Reich had immunity from the room challenge. At this point I think have just bonded too much to want to mess with each other. Maybe James could be a dark horse. But I agree that creating a "second team" could be a good solution.
The issue with freeloaders in general has been they always find a favorite even if they don't fully friend tank. Dunye liked Tayleigh, Oliver liked Shinji, Jobe had a soft spot for Binx, Fatty will side with the woman he is currently simping for, Frank only targets people he views as deserving. It's just hard to push people into acting in specific ways without it coming off as forced.

I think Landon could be very funny as long as he had a handler to put him in the right situations. Many moons ago there was this show called An Idiot Abroad where Ricky Gervais flew his colleague Karl Pilkington around the world to partake in different cultural experiences. Something similar with Landon would be a joy to watch because he's lived such an insulated lifestyle, but is still open enough to new experiences.
