He was good for like 5 days at the start when he was really engaged with everything and actually taking it seriously and it was a nice change of pace to have a host who was actually in to and having fun. Then at some point he stopped giving a shit and you can't really even consider him the host anymore because he just pops in for a few minutes a day while Jet and Ben do everything a host would do.I'm very confused by the people he was saying he was good at any point during the season.
He has a compulsion to scream "I'm not owned" every time he loses, it started with the completely innocent arm wrestling match week one and people just pretended not to see it.Bashir tries to talk his way through problems and situations that do not require talking and are actively made worse by talking.
It's mostly because people were upset at Sam's performance on S4 and his checked out attitude. Bam, in contrast, came in with energy and excitement about the show the first few days and people in this thread were saying that he was "better than Sam in every way". Though bam was checked out by the end of the first 2 weeks as well and basically contributed nothing to the show since then. I don't think it has anything to do with his fame or nostalgia for his previous work, just that he at first seemed to have more passion than sam did in the latter days of his fishtank role.It doesn't matter if Bam is out or not, unfortunately he was not a good host by any measure and I'm very confused by the people he was saying he was good at any point during the season.
Is it nostalgia? I watched Viva La Bam too, but I can put my rose colored glasses away.
Regardless of your opinions on Markyposting or his idealogy or whatever, Sam was a good host because of:
I know most of this seems very obvious but in the face of people saying "Bam was good" inexplicably it bears repeating.
- His physical stature. For the most part he towered over all the contestants and was a hulking presence, this alone gave him a lot of power.
- His appearance / manner of dress. Despite it being a bit or over the top, he did wear suits / other formal types of clothing a lot, another thing which conveyed his role, unlike Jet with his stupid shoes and protruding nipples.
- He knew what the fuck was happening. He is actually able to explain challenges on his own without help (except when it wasn't his fault because production shittily explained the challenges to him, or they made no sense to begin with.)
- He was acting / playing a character. This makes him more interesting to watch in general, and even more so than a guy who just shows up and acts like one of the boys.
- He did not pal around with the fish, for the most part. Obviously this creates a separation.
These are all leadership qualities that Bam 100% did not demonstrate at any point. (Nor can Jet and to a certain extent, Ben.)
Was it fun to see him? Sure. Was he a host? Hell no.
He can't pray without taking a shower first, he got shellfish and piss on his body.Bashir rn
Also he just missed his prayer
I think you're somewhat right, but I grew tired of the direct contempt for the fish and physical intimidation from Sam. It became a trait that was almost expected of him every season, and I think it affected the social dynamic between fish a bit too much. Obviously, Bam isn't an actual host either by any stretch of the imagination. I don't know how you fix this showSam was a good host because of:
Nah Bashir is right and can't take that into account because if they were going to do that, he has no control over it and they would do it no matter what. Calling out the fact Landon is fucked as of now if fair game."What was it for Landon?! You're still in last place!"
Nigga forgetting that production can make anything happen. Surprise 100 candy reward for throwing piss lol.
In this case, I think "good host" means "better than being subjected to Sam"he was not a good host by any measure
Head would cry and ran away while promising violence if he got any of Binxes shit thrown on himfuck it bring in Head
I agree that Bam was more a gimmick than an actual host, but I still would of liked to see him finish out the gig. Bam added his own seasoning to the pot, and this is shaping up to be my favorite season, or at least the one I think was ran the best. He's part of that, even if his presence in the House wasn't as impactful as Sam, and I would want them to change hosts next season. What he and his friends were doing pre-Jackass isn't exactly the same as what Fishtank is, but I do think it's an evolution from that. Getting to see him participate in and enjoy it was something I appreciated. It doesn't matter if Bam is out or not, unfortunately he was not a good host by any measure and I'm very confused by the people he was saying he was good at any point during the season.

this is absolutely the direction it's going in if it's an actual rigjob and I'll laugh if it does"What was it for Landon?! You're still in last place!"

Yes, and Landon knows that. But Landon is butthurt about Bashir, who in his cosplay head has declared Jihad and is excused from bathing and prayingDrake is going to fuck over landon so hard once bash is gone
"Waaaaaaah but that means sometimes my simpbait (male or female) is plotted against! NAWT FAIR!"Truthnuke: every fish remaining has been coddled at some point and this happens every season
