I don't dislike the twins but at this point they've become sort of boring and the Drake/Bashir dynamic is infinitely better. I know its not all the Twins fault but they've basically just been on an adult daycare vacation this entire time and have been in their own little world outside of whatever else is going on.

the temper tantrum really did kill my mood with them & I don't think it should've been that way because it comes across as, and is registered by them subconsciously, as having the ability to be placated.

If you want a real final and not coddle tank it needs to be Drake v Bashir. The twins can only win popularity contests, they are not able to complete without outside assistance (from freeloaders, etc).
